I highly recommend this product. It is the perfect size for my surround sound receiver/dvd player. It does stick out from the wall quite a bit, but if you account for this and swivel it accordingly it fits nicely. Due to the (absurd) way that my apartment is built, I had no choice but to mount it on the side of the wall, so the swiveling aspect of the shelf makes it actually fit nicely, and it doesn't stick out as much. I have the aforementioned surround sound receiver/dvd player, as well as a Directv receiver on it with no problems. I have a spare computer and sub sitting underneath with a plethora of wires that I was able to hide pretty nicely with the use of ties and a few pieces of tape.
All in all a great buy!

This product lives up to the high reviews if you are looking for a study and stylish wall mounted glass shelf. It is much sturdier than I thought even after reading all the positive reviews. However, if you think you can mount this item without pre-drilling or using a power drill you may want to think again. The bolts/screws are very big and you must use a power drill if you are going to mount them in studs(which is recommended). I thought I could muscle the screws in but I ended up having to buy a power drill. For the price, I don't really have anything but positive things to say about the shelf. It holds my projector and I'm not worried about it falling down.Customer Review: Great product

Bought 3 of these, 2 for my bedroom and one for my living room. What's great about this product is that you can mount it to just about any wall with the included hardware. Easy to install in minutes and the cover really hides cables coming from yr audio/video equipment.
Very sturdy on wall holds my HD cable box, dvd player and the other shelf holds an expensive Onkyo receiver with no worries. The shelves roate right and left. Keep in mind if u are tall find a good place to mount it out the way because it does stick out from the wall a bit.
Overall great product and wouldn't hesitate to recomment to anyone.

Bought two of these for the price of one at the local electronics store. One of them came completely smashed to oblivion. Amazon quickly replaced it. Overall I really like these shelves. I have two of them mounted one above the other. The mounting screws are long and ridiculously tough to put in with really soft heads. The shelves seem solid enough. One is the perfect size for my blu ray player the other holds my xbox 360 and its power box and my wii. The plastic covers are really flimsy but you can sort of hide wires in them. I think the dimensions are wrong in the listing, they are actually 18" wide 16" deep. Awesome shelf.Customer Review: Great for Storing Your Laptop

I had originlly purchased this item to put my DVD player and cable box on below the TV...but there are other products better suited for that purpose. But, it was so good looking that I wanted to keep it so I found another use for it. Now I use this shelf to hold my laptop out of they way and off my desk in my office when re-charging the battery or when I'm not using it. I had it mounted in the corner so the cut off corners of the glass shelf is perfect for not scuffing the wall as it swivels slightly. It is also very good looking when my computer is not on it. Great design.
