I previously had bought a silver model of this item in 2003 from my then employer Circuit City, it worked great & I loved it. Well this year we bought a new TV (black) & decided to get a matching mount for the top as the silver looked funny. So when this 1 arrived I promptly put it together & found out that the main piece of steel was warped (had to have the support legs different legnths to fix) & what is worse is that the 2 front pegs that grab the top of the TV are silver, not black & it looks horrid. The picture on the website clearly shows this item as all black.Customer Review: This add on shelf fit's the bill perfectly!

First of all, all the small parts were located in a small bag included in the box with the shelf.Everything was there and ready to put together. I didn't have to use very much out of the bag of parts, since my Mitsu.DLP Rear Projection TV had a slope at the upper back side that only needed the short extension legs. I found that the shelf it self worked best in my situation used upsidedown so I didn't have to use the edge pegs to keep the shelf from slipping off. After all was done, it looks great and serves it's purpose very well. I highly recommend this Item 100%!Customer Review: well built but not quite there

I bought one of these after getting a new DLP TV. I had a smaller tube and had my center channel in the entertainment center but after moving to a TV stand had no where to put it. This shelf is very well built and nice looking. The box says it will work with tube, LCD, and DLP TVs. The problem that I had was that the ajustable legs were just not long enough to reach the back of my TV. I had someone make me longer leg inserts to use this shelf so that was a major hassle. Other than that though I am very pleased with the looks and consturction of the shelf.Customer Review: Does what it's supposed to but caused image distortion.

Bought and mounted this (8 lb speaker) on our 73 inch Mitsubishi DLP. It is a high quality stand but I noticed that the weight on the back of our tv caused the image in the middle to bow downwards. It wasn't extremely noticeable but just enough to make me concerned about the long term effects. I decided to make and mount a shelf behind the tv on the wall. Unfortunately removing the Omnimount's sticky pads with the shelf stuck to it was a chore in itself. May work better for tv's with a more solid back or one that is not quite so steep as ours.Customer Review: PERFECT for Cable receiver!

We have a 50inch projection television that we have ALWAYS had to put the cable receiver on the floor since we didnt want a surrounding entertainment center. I had seen & heard about something similar before but had never found anywhere to purchase one. This one is GREAT! It's more exspensive than the other plastic models, but it's solid. I had a little trouble putting it together only because I either read passed or it did not mention inserting the front feet that grab onto the front of the TV. I would highly rercommend this item!
