Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of OCZ OCZUSBATV32G 32 GB ATV USB Flash DriveCustomer Review: ATV Flash drive Summary: 5 StarsI purchased this flash drive because I am an engineering student and I try to put large downloads on it and not my hard drive. I could not be happier. Talk about plug and play or should I say plug and work.
Customer Review: Great Product, Great Service! Summary: 5 StarsI wanted a larger flash drive because I deal with large files but was concerned about the transfer rate. I have a 1Gb "traveller" drive that was very inexpensive but it takes 8-9 minutes to fill up where my no brand 1Gbs take 2-3. This 32Gb drive transfers to at just under 1Gb/minute and reads faster. (at least large files. I read others say it slows down for very small files)
As for service, I accidentally backed into my computer with a wheelchair while this drive was in the front and cringed immediately at the crunch. When I pulled it out it was at an uncomfortable angle but when I put it back in I could read almost all of the data still! I contacted OCZ and they offered to replace it for only the shipping cost!
Customer Review: sbr Summary: 5 StarsThis is a great litle device with a BIG space it holds at or info and movies and music it is very helpful for the IT Guys .
Customer Review: Fabulous and huge usb flash memory drive Summary: 5 StarsI have recently tried USB flash memory drives from Adata (8 Gb, with a standard connector), Kingston (8 Gb Green retractable version, DT-110), Corsair (16 Gb metal encased Survivor with 256 bit encryption capability) and now the OCZ ATV 32 Gb rubber-encased drive. Of all these I definitely prefer the OCZ for its huge size and reliability as well as its durability and small physical size to boot. Next, I liked the quite new Kingston retractable unit. If the DT-110 was currently produced with a larger capacity I probably would have purchased that one first since the connector is totally protected when not in use. I didn't like the Corsair at all and it was way too large in my opinion, but well protected. The Adata unit died after 7 months of relatively light usage.
The OCZ isn't a total speed demon, but I just work on other items while it is working to back up my 70 Gb Hard drive which is only about 1/2 used (most of my useful hard to replace data is capable of being easily stored by the OCZ ATV in < 2 hours).
It has a nice holder that is physically attached to the unit for storing the end cap when the drive is operating. I think it fits snugly on both the main USB connector and on the holder, contrary to some other reviews. It also has a nice led light that flashes while it is accessing/storing digital information.
Would I buy it again, you bet I would!
Customer Review: OCZ to the head of the class Summary: 5 StarsI've owned every Corsair USB Flash Drive up to 16gb and have no complaints. I contemplated getting the new 32gb Corsair when I found the OCZ 32gb and decided to try it. I have 2 friends who have the 32gb Corsair. The speed on the OCZ is much better than the 32gb Corsair. I like the design better and the place to put the removable cap so you don't loose it as easy as the Corsair. OCZ = Good quality product. Does what you need it to do. Cons - no lanyard. Can't wait for the 64gb version.
