it was very easy to open the asus eee pc 1000 and install this memory. Just have to release the clips on the old ram, and slide the new ram in at the same angle pop it down and let the clips lock into place. I went into the bios with f2 didnt change anything, exit and save. Loaded windows checked dxdiag and its working properly. Only notice the load the pc can carry is quite better than it comes with. I ordered my 2GB memory upgrade for my ASUS eeepc 904HA mini laptop from Amazon the day after I ordered the mini itself from another internet vendor. The memory arrived several days before the computer. On the first day of the mini's life at my home, I popped out the 1GB ram it came with and popped in this inexpensive OCZ 2GB from Amazon. It's been over 6 weeks and no problems. I have a very fast mini running Windows XP and it's great. Only problem is "what do I do with the 1GB I took out to make room for the 2GB?"Customer Review: Like others', only 1GB available after install. Why didn't I listen?

I, too, noticed that there was only 1GB available (according to MS Windows XP) after my upgrade. However, I didn't notice that there was a fix available (the "update BIOS" method mentioned in another review) until after I returned my memory stick. Sure enough, when I received a memory stick from another seller I had the same issue until I updated the BIOS! I am still giving a poor review because this memory NEEDS TO COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS for the ASUS eee 1000h (and possibly other "fast boot" computers).Customer Review: Easy to install - Broke my computer

I don't know if it's the item, or my Eee PC 1000H, but this cause my new netbook to die. It was easy to switch cards, but my screen no longer worked after I did it. Thankfully I was able to exchange my computer, but I sent back this item. I'm sure it would make things move a little faster, but it's not worth the risk. I wouldn't advise trying this unless you can be sure you can exchange your computer. Thank you so much to reviewers dr. scott and Mildad for exact installation instructions in my Eee PC 1000HE. Getting the module in and out was a little tricky (be sure you put it in at an angle), but simple enough. It's too bad that the manufacturers didn't include such good instructions as you can find here, but thank goodness for helpful Amazon reviewers.
My netbook operates very quickly and I'm pleased that I got such good performance for such a reasonable price.
