Customer Review: Fine after BIOS update

I installed this thing in about 2 minutes as it was that easy. However, right clicking My Computer showed that I still only had 1GB of memory. Trying to reboot using the F2 key to get to BIOS never worked in 4 attempts so instead I clicked Start > ASUS Update and downloaded the latest BIOS version which was March 5, 2009. System rebooted and everything is speeding along and properties of My Computer correctly show 1.99GB of RAM. Mildly inconvenient but much less so than repacking the product, popping down to the post office, paying for the bloody postage and then waiting for another one to appear and having the same problem. I bought memory because I purchased a computer that required this upgrade. The selling company (Buy.com)informed me they had no stock, and I tried to stop shipment of memory @ AMAZON. Time constraints did not allow Amazon to do so. A few days later, I purchased an ASUS N10J A2 computer (A GREAT netbook computer)from AMAZON, and have returned the memory to Amazon for credit (7 days ago). Amazon was great when I requested the return and when I explained why the return was necessary. Amazon is a great company, and past transactions have proven the customer comes first.
Nothing wrong with the memory except I was not able to use it.

For around 20 bucks after rebate, this 2 GB of SDRAM from OCZ is an excellent deal. I installed it with no problems in my ASUS 1000H netbook, with the system recognizing the 2 GB upon booting. Just make sure you seat the memory into the socket/slot firmly before pushing the raised edge of the module down flat to complete installation.
Although this memory upgrade wasn't necessary for my ASUS 1000H netbook (running Ubuntu) in going about its typical netbook tasks, it was useful for my running resource-hogging virtual machines via Virtual Box. If you're looking for an easy netbook hardware upgrade, this is a good one.

I couldn't believe how easy it was to install in my new ASUS Eee 900HA and start using this new memory. I shut down the computer, removed the battery, then the RAM cover, pushed back the two silver locks and the module popped up. I pulled it straight out at the angle it was already pointing and inserted the new one at the same angle, popped it back down, replaced the cover and the battery, started up the machine and checked the logged RAM in Windows. Installed and working, no problem. I was a bit concerned about my ability to change the card, but it was a breeze and I'm glad I did it. It does help my videos run smoother.Customer Review: Excellent Product, excellent purchase.

I bougth this memory for an Asus Eee 900HE as an upgrade. By default this netbook comes with 1Gb and Windows XP Home. I wanted to put one extra Gigabyte and free my mind of any memeory problems.
With this memory it just was take it of the package open the Asus remove the ones that come with and put this new one. Everything goes like a charm, just turn de Asus on and the new memeory was recognized by the netbook and Windows.
No problems nor difficulties reported in the proccess. If you have and memory upgrade to do I recommend this memory. Just confirm that this one is supported by you computer.
