Customer Review: Memory did not work well in the asus 901

Installing the memory was easy but after I installed it the Asus 901 starting acting strange. The screen would go blank and I needed to reset the system. After a day the system went black and stopped working. I called Asus and after installing the old 1 GB memory back in all was well. I returned this memory to Amazon and will try to order the Crucial 2GB memory and see if that works better.Customer Review: Works as expected; received as expected

I had a bit of a problem installing it (no clear cut instructions on the Asus website, the manual, or from someone sharing their experience on either Amazon or YouTube) but eventually got it done. Hopefully, it has improved the performance of the computer but since I never used it with just 1GB of memory there is no baseline for comparison!

This works as expected. Only caution is to ensure it is installed correctly so you can get the benefit. I had thought I had done so but when I checked, the computer wasn't registering the higher RAM. After wrestling with it a bit more, and getting the card inserted further into the slot, lo and behold the computer confirmed my increased memory. I bought this for my Asus eee pc 1000HE and it made my computer much faster and it ran pretty good. However my computer would not run more than an hour without crashing. After it crashed it would not be able to start back up for about 10 hours. I have no doubt that it made my computer faster, but it didnt allow my computer to work properly so I am living with my 1gb of ram.Customer Review: Does not work with the new Eee 901 Sakura Red

Just making this review for those who have purchased the new Sakura Red or green Asus Eee 901's. They have a different pinn set. I do not know what memory works with it yet, but every site says it fits, but the pins are clearly on the short side of the memory card, not on the long side as this product.
Fits my mothers Dell mini great, works great.
