Initially, I purchased this along with Planet Puzzle League to help occupy myself and my wife on long plane flights. It's great as it can be played at reasonable volume/brightness for over 15 hours on a single charge. My wife enjoys the free games on Yahoo! and seems to enjoy playing the DS about as much. We play with it at home every now and then, though I still haven't fallen into a daily rhythm "training" with Brain Age 2. I'm a big fan of non-traditional gaming interfaces such as this and the Wii. I'm looking forward to trying some of the multi-user features as soon as I can convince some friends to buy one.
The only thing that has disappointed me so far is the lack of WPA encryption support when connecting to WiFi networks. The DS only supports WEP encryption, which can easily be compromised.

I've never been much for handhelds in the past. I've owned a Nintendo Gameboy Color and a PSP (which I sold to raise money for my PS3). They've just never held my attention for long. However, the Crimson DS Lite is a sleek little device that has lots of functionality and nice graphics. I bought it for the novelty of it being Crimson and for the bundled Brain Age 2 and the carrying case. The carrying case leaves a little to be desired as it kind of looks a little "girly" with its red stitching and designer clasp. But it does keep the thing from getting scratched, so it's worth it. The array of games available is impressive, so I can't wait to get more. I like the fact that it has built in WiFi, comes with an extra stylus, and is backward compatible with GB Advance games. Using the stylus is effortless and adds a new dimension to gameplay. Brain Age 2 is a lot of fun and has several interesting minigames/tests. I purchased this mainly on a whim. I always wanted to own a DS and now seemed like a good time to get one. The Crimson/Black color combo of the DS is very pretty. However, I've been hearing that when compared to the previous DS, the Crimson/Black one's screen is darker/less clear. I've never owned a DS, but the screen does seem a little hazy/unclear.
I loved the fact that this DS combo came with Brain Age 2, which at first impression, I thought was a lousy bundle game. However, after being constantly bombarded with action games (that can be quite repetitive), titles like Brain Age is definitely welcome to the gaming world. It makes full use of the DS Stylus pen, making you draw/write on your DS screen!
If you live electronic products that are always innovative and worth the price you pay for it, the Nintendo DS is the perfect gizmo for you. (Heck, anything made by Nintendo is of great quality and innovation!)

For the longest time I couldn't decide between the crimson/black DS or the pink DS. I love both colors but I hadn't seen the crimson/black DS in person so I wasn't quite sure whether I bought the color I wanted.
I knew I made the right decision when I opened the box. This crimson/black DS is beautiful. The red is a very deep red and the top cover is a shiny, metal-like covering. The game system is sturdy and the rest of the body is black. The box also came with an additional black stylus, the Brain Age 2 game, charger, Nintendo catalog, black carrying case (with a red inside) and other misc. pamphlets.
I'm really impressed with how beautiful this game system is. Pink is great for girls, but this one works well for males and females. It has a very polished, classy look to it and I highly recommend getting this limited edition boxed set.

A very showy and very pretty version of NINTENDO DS LITE to a very good price ^^.
I had a NINTENDO DS original I compare with this and this is seen much more pretty and I have the diversion assured, besides the innovation in the sense to play with the tactile screen and in certain case with my voice,is very interesting and funny.
Nintendo DS Lite is very very pretty, I recommend, buy it ^^

Yo tuve un NINTENDO DS original y lo comparo con este y este se ve mucho mas bonito y la diversión la tengo asegurada, ademas de la innovación en el sentido de jugar con la pantalla táctil y en ciertos caso hacer comando de voz, es muy entretenido.
La Nintendo DS Lite es muy muy bonita la recomiendo, comprenla ^^
