Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Nike SHJ045 Headband Headphone (White)Customer Review: worked great.....for the first few workouts Summary: 2 Stars
ordered this headset 11-04-09, received it a week later. My wife uses these at the gym, and we figured that a headset using nike branding, with "motion" and "sports" in the name, and featuring a picture of a girl on the package wearing them DRIPPING IN SWEAT would be great and durable enough for her to wear at the gym for 30 mins 3 times a week. Which they were, for the first month. The right earbud started going flat (no bass, tin-esqe) about a few days under a month of her first use. This seems to be a constant with these, lots of other reviews point to this. Contacting Philips for warranty replacement. I have been using a motorola rokr s9 bluetooth headset at the gym for a year and a half, with no problems. I would have thought that for sure a simple corded active headset would have been more durable than them, but I guess not.
Customer Review: Worked well while they actually worked.... Summary: 2 Stars
I recieved these headphones as a Christmas gift. They were very comfortable but sometimes they slipped off my head, but that was easily fixed with a bobby-pin. They didn't hurt my ears at all. The extra long plastic tube around the cord where it the headphone jack plugs into your device is a pain, it sticks out noticably far and makes fitting your iPod in your pocket awkward. I loved these headphones for working out, but they had little bass. However, less than 2 months after recieving them the right headphone quit working while I was using it. It actually shocked me in the ear when it went out and it was a pretty powerful zap too, in the inside of the ear... ouch :S
I wouldn't buy these headphones for myself, I have been much better off with $10 headphones.
Customer Review: Not great Summary: 2 Stars
I've been searching for headphones suitable for moving sports (yes, most sports are but I mean running mostly) that fit. Most of the in-ear types (not buds) are quite painful for me to wear since the piece that fits in the ear seems to rub on a bone. After 10 minutes, I had to take these off because of the pain. Sounds was so-so for the 10 minutes I could actually wear these.
I find the best design for me is the kind where the earpieces goes into the ear sideways. These don't seem to rub and they let more sound in so they're safer for sports where you'd like to hear the outside world. There are only a few types designed this way and, for sports, I prefer over the head rather than behind for sports so the search continues . . .
Customer Review: Nike Motion Headphones Summary: 5 Stars
I really like these headphones. They fit comfortably in the ear and doesn't cause pain like some do. I run often and they seem to fit pretty well on the head without slipping. I also like how the band goes on top of the head, works like a headband which is a plus for me. They also have lasted the longest out of headphones that I have had in the past. I've recently purchased another pair, not because they went out on their own, I accidentally ripped the cord while working outside. Before that happening, I've had the last pair for two and a half years. The sound quality is also pretty awesome. I would and have recommended these headphones to friends.
Customer Review: Good headphones for runners! Summary: 4 Stars
I've had the worst time finding headphones that don't fall out while I'm running. I've tried at least a dozen styles, in the ear, over the ear, etc. So I thought I'd try these out even though they reminded me of the old style headphones, just sleeker. I love them! The only time they move is if I look down for a period of time, which I don't do much while running. They stay on nicely and the sound is just fine. I wish the ear part was a little softer, but the benefits far outweigh that little concern. Overall, they're great!
