Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of NETGEAR GS105 ProSafe 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Desktop Switch - 10/100/1000 MbpsCustomer Review: Exactly what I wanted Summary: 5 Stars
This is a good, solid network switch. The all metal enclosure gives it a sturdy feel. I have this in my living room, replacing an older 100MB switch. This one looks much better among that entertainment center equipment. I have had no issues with it. I have not done extensive speed tests and things like other reviewers have, but I am very please with this switch in the manner that I am using it.
Customer Review: Netgear 5 port router Summary: 4 Stars
I love these, we can use them in remote towers (we run a WISP) and they just run and run unlike their cheaper brothers. The docs are kind of limited and such features as Spanning Tree Protocol either isn't available or they forgot to mention it in their very limited documentation, online as well. Don't let that defer you, this is a hot little item and the price is right, as they say on TV.
Customer Review: Great desktop gigabit switch Summary: 5 Stars
If you are looking for a simple, non-managed gigabit switch, this is the one to buy. After using several of them at work and setting them up for friends, I can say that they are great, reliable switches. I finally bought one for myself to avoid having to run separate cables for my xbox, ps3 and media center (gigabit streaming!) Plug and play operation, works exactly as you would expect.
Customer Review: Works great, nice little item when you need to share offices Summary: 5 Stars
Our company is growing by leaps and bounds to the point that we have several offices that are being shared. When the offices were built there was only a single data port going to each, so rather than hire someone to come in and pull new wire to each of the offices, I instead used these to share the office single dataport.
They work great, and I have had no problems.
Customer Review: Fantastic for Gamers Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this so I could hook up my XBox and my Playstation direct instead of using wireless. I used the Netgear Powerline HD Plus to get the connection to the downstairs but it only provides a single connection. I plugged the cable into this little bad boy and both gamming systems are online and I still have room to add a WII and a new model TV. Works great..
