Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of National Geographic NG 2475 Earth Explorer Medium Shoulder BagCustomer Review: Lots of pockets Summary: 4 Stars
This bag was slightly bigger than I expected and the padding makes it a little stiff but overall, it is a good bag. It has plenty of room for all of my gear but doesn't scream "camera bag!" I can pack my Canon Rebel XT with lens attached and two extra lenses in the adjustable padded compartments with plenty of room for random gear in the main compartment. My extra memory cards, lens cleaning kit, cords, pens, and whatever small bits I need fit into the zippered pockets. My iBook fits in the laptop pocket easily, although my MacBook Pro does not. I like this bag for travel and situations where quick access to my camera is not top priority but having all my gear with me is.
Customer Review: The crummy clips are gone, now has sturdy straps Summary: 4 Stars
The problems mentioned by others regarding the strap clips seem to have been addressed. There are no clips! The strap is now non-removable and there is no fear of the strap system failing. I bought this bag figuring I would remove the clips but it was already done for me. The bag feels great, looks great (not just another black camera bag). It would be nice if the whole bag was padded. The laptop compartment is to small for a normal laptop but I find it useful for other things --my back up drive. reflector, other flat(ish) accessories. I am happy to have something more casual than another black, stiff, gear bag. So if you know what you are getting, you might just like it.
Customer Review: Great Success! Summary: 5 Stars
Hi guys...This bag is amazing. Honestly, I read the other reviews, and I Can see where everyone is coming from. From my point of view, the layout is perfect. The side pocket holds my 13in laptop perfectly, my canon 30D with lense fits nicely, plus there is enough room inside for lenses, flashes, or whatever else you want to put. The side pockets are super convenient to keep a lot of other things. The look of the bag is great. Its kinda vintage looking, but still retains that true field bag look, and that something extra cool that I would totally wear to the city on my shoulder.
Customer Review: Nicest Camera Bag Out There Summary: 5 Stars
This is almost the nicest non-camera looking camera bag you can found out there. It is true though that this bag (especially the sides) are not very well padded. But if you just carry it normally your gear should be pretty well protected. Also the pouch in this bag can fit a 12 inch notebook (I have a dell 700m). Maybe if you push hard enough you might be able to fit a 13 ince macbook. It might not be the most functional bag, but sometimes people do think that you work for the National Geopgraphic.
Customer Review: Perfect size Summary: 5 Stars
Took the bag for a quick trip to Mexico. It fit my D60 with two lenses and my Thinkpad X61 easily, and still had enough room for some Christmas presents :)
The outer pockets are ideal to hold passport and tickets, or anything you need quick access to. The overall quality of the used materials is really good and I have to admit that the bag looks really, really cool.
Will be my carry on luggage from now on, if I travel with camera or without.
Very happy with the bag.
