It took me 3 tries of buying various fans before I found this one and I'm extremly happy with my decision to purchase it. It is really strong, and my laptop finally is cool to the touch. My only recommendation to the manufacturer is to please ADD an "OFF" switch so I don't have to unplug it from the wall so often. OH, I lied -- there is one more thing. Please make the cord LONGER. I had to plug it into an extension cord. They must have thought a person would have an electrical outlet on the wall directly behind the machine. It does what I wanted it to, which is keep my laptop from overheating.Customer Review: Great Buy! Expensive but worth it.

You know how you look at the price of something and go...eeek? Ive had other laptop coolers as I online game with mine and it cooks the tabletop if I dont have a cooler hooked up. Other coolers just move air around. This one actually kept the bottom cool to the touch after several hours of gaming. If you are going eek at the price don't worry, your search is over, as this one is under that catagory of get what you buy. Well built and the extra usb ports will come in handy. A wheel on the side helps you adjust the speed of the fan. Have not noticed any noise at highest speed setting, seems quiet.Customer Review: Almost perfect..'Weak' power connectors

It fits my 17 inch widescreen perfectly, it's angled to allow for more ergonomic hand posture, it folds for 'easier' carry but it's still very bulky when folded
I got 2 of these and both the power connector broke inside the unit when they were bumped...I know you're supposed to handle with extra care--But--for $70 it should hold up better; especially since there are $20 options out there
Get it if you know you can be careful with it
Horrible choice if you have kids who may hit it

As a cooler, this thing works great. From a design standpoint, they could've powered it much better.
Adding the USB Male-to-Male connector was a good idea since most of my coolers suffered a power cord tear, or a cat chewing through it. Adding the ability for a DC adapter was also an excellent idea. That is, if it worked. The power cords fit very loosely inside the DC adapter slot. So much so that without the USB cable, the fans stop moving if you sneeze. Literally.
Minor complaint, really. The unit has drastically cooled my laptop.

I have a dedicated laptop for my home theater setup. Without a base, it sat directly on a shelf and the vent fans below (poor design) made it run hot. The Cryo Cooler has been a worthwhile investment. Multi-fans keep the notebook cool, ability to throttle speeds is great, and icing is the multiple USB ports in back -- I have an array of external hard drives storing all my electronic media and these power down when flip notebook lid down. Whisper quiet operation. All-in-all, I'm pretty happy with this purchase and would recommend this product highly. - Rudy
