Customer Review: Clear VGA video

I bought this as a gift for a friend that watches TV at night but doesn't want to disturb spouse. After testing several competing glasses at local retail electronic stores, this one is the most clear display of all lower-to-mid range glasses at VGA resolution. The quarter VGA types just don't cut it watching standard definition TV programs. Also the display doesn't have the more pronounced "double vision" (or seeing 3D without glasses) type of focus issue for me and others, and gives nothing but headaches..literally.
Sound quality is just normal ear phone type, not high end.
One annoying problem is the wiring can get tangled up a bit, but that is given in design as it's not wireless. All in all its a very functional and good compromise with spouse!

This is my second MyVu, as I like the clean design of the new model; also, my first MyVu is used to let other people that keep interupting me to ask about the device a chance to try it out. I travel by plane nearly daily and the MyVu allows me to catch up with news and video podcasts comfortably. I really like the improvement to the screen with this model and the clean lines of the design.
As the other review stated, I too worry if I would damage the audio cables, but in nearly daily use for the past year, I have not had a problem with my other unit.
Clean design, comfortable to wear, and easy to operate...as you can tell, I love this product.

Before buying the myvu I read a lot of negative reviews about battery problems. Yet, with all the travelling I'm doing I really needed something to help pass the time so I took the risk anyway, and I'm glad I did. This media viewer is great!!! After charging it fully, It lasted longer than my zune (media player), the picture is great, and the sound was fantastic almost blocking out the airplane noise completely. Sure there are a lot of wires that you have to manage but trust me, it beats looking at the back of a seat for 4 hours. If for any reason I start having trouble with this unit after writing this review, I'm absolutely going to buy another one.Customer Review: Unreliable product

Buyer beware. Numerous units are reported as having battery problems. The set I own was sent for service once already, and in a very short period, it's in worse shape than ever. Now, it will not only fail to charge, but it is completely unresponsive to video input. Trying to get Warranty service now is impossible, since the manufacturer's website is nothing more than a generic error page. How long have I owned the set? Less than one year.
When the unit did work, the picture quality was fairly decent for something of its design. The audio left a fair bit to be desired, and the headphones could not be replaced with something better.

This product is awful! I've had it replaced by the company 3 times and it still broke after only 12 hours of use. MyVu's customer service, sales, and tech support lines although the recording says they're open during normal business hours eastern time, never answer, they do call back, but who needs the aggravation of dealing with a poorly manufactured product. Although not many alternatives exist, anything would be better than this overpriced poorly manufactured piece of plastic that needs to be recycled.
