Customer Review: Great way to add a personal touch to your Kindle

I purchased this skin along with a new cover for my Kindle 2 (the M-Edge Prodigy in jade green). I've had the cover for a couple of days now and the skin arrived today--as usual, I'm very pleased with the order process from Amazon.
Being a gadget gal, I've purchased and installed skins from several different manufacturers, with varying degrees of success. Some required soaking in water like a decal, some were really really sticky, and some were very hard to apply without leaving fingerprints. So, I was a little dubious about how difficult it might be to skin my Kindle--and this kit didn't come with directions.
As it turns out, no directions are needed--if you can apply a postage stamp to an envelope, you've got the requisite skills. The skin itself is sleek, thin, and very precisely cut, and the coolest thing is that if it's not 100% perfectly aligned, you can gently lift it and re-align it. Once I got it placed where I wanted it, a gentle rub with a cotton cloth smoothed it beautifully; no problems with air bubbles at all with this kit. I did the back of my Kindle first, thinking I'd need to practice before tackling the front, but I had the whole thing done in less than 10 minutes. It looks wonderful--almost like a hard enamel--and it coordinates beautifully with my new cover. If you want to give your Kindle a facelift, I highly recommend this product.
