This decal is pretty and fits perfectly on the kindle 2. I especially like how the design continues the pattern "uninterrupted" over the buttons. It was easy to apply and does not leave a sticky residue if you need to remove it. If you need to remove a small portion of the decal (like to see the serial number in the back, it comes off easy enough; however I was not patient enough too attempt to remove it and reuse it on my replacement kindle (as the other reviewer did, so i guess it's possible, but mine stretched too much). Good news is, it's not too expensive so I ordered another one in the same design for my replacement.
I have to agree with the other reviewer - get the extended warranty for your kindle (65 dollars for two extra years is so worth it) - you have up to 30 days from the date purchase to add it. They are really good about replacing your kindle for any problem or difficulty, so if you have ANY little problem, address it before your warrenty expires! Also, get the standard hard cover too, even if you buy the decal bc the decal just prevents surface damage (e.g, scratches, grease, dirt, etc).
BTW - any Kindle 2.0 users who have not recieved their FREE software upgrade to kindle 2.3 make sure you call kindle support and have them walk you through it - it's the latest and greatest in kindle technology and it's free for you, so don't miss out!
