I wanted something that was functional, attractive, not pricey, and easily applied - so with that in mind, I not only checked on Amazon, but used a search engine to help with options and where to get them. This being my first "skin" purchase, I really didn't know what else I should, or could, be looking for. Fortunately, I do enjoy reading what others have experienced from their purchases, but yet I'm still willing to buy something that didn't get an "excellent" rating to form my own. That's exactly what happened in this instance. In the reviews, either people really raved about this one OR they bashed it because they experienced a difficult time in applying it to their Kindle, as well as being unsuccessful in getting all the air bubbles out. Well, I'm in the first group! Directions to apply were easily understood, the skin is soft & flexible, and while it took a couple attempts to get it started in the corner "square/aligned", it laid perfectly over the keyboard/controls, and I was able to use my fingers to "nudge" any air bubbles out. Yes, there were a few, but none that were problematic. I considered going without a skin, my reasoning being that it resides in a book-like case, but liked the design so well that it swayed me to part with the money, and I'm so happy I did. It's been 3 months since my purchase, and the skin shows no signs of wearing or bubbles. Also, you can remove it at any time, and re-apply at a later date. Reusable!!! Hey, you can spend more, or probably a little less, but this does what it's suppose to do - and that's what I wanted.
