I bought this to help with the onslaught of holiday package shipping. It's sturdy and does a great job for weighing absolutely everything. With this scale I was able to use the self-mailing websites of UPS and the USPS (Click N' Ship) and skip the long lines to mail things. For that alone this thing paid for itself. I also like that it can run on batteries! It doesn't give you the price of postage, but you can figure that out with the weights via those websites. They're always changing their prices anyway.
A great time saver, I will definitely continue to use this after the holidays for mailing things.

For the money, this seems to be a really good value. It appears to be accurate, and unlike other more expensive scales, it covers a wide range of weight. It's small, which I like, although if you want to weigh a big box you'll have to be careful to balance it properly on the platform. The "Hold" key is nice for recording the weight of a larger item when you can't see the screen. The manual is badly written, but you can figure it out. Keeping in mind that it's cheap, it seems to be reasonably sturdy. I would not recommend it for a busy mail room. For my purposes, doing a few eBay mailings, it's great.Customer Review: Perfect little scale for big jobs!

I love this scale. It's perfect for home and small business use. It has a variety of options for weighing from metric to standard US. The 55 pound capacity is ample for home use and the ounce measurement goes down as small as 2/10ths. Very nice if shipping to Canada and you need ounce measurement. It's a great size: only 8"x9". The detaching face plate allows you to pull it away from the scale when weighing a large box so you can still see the numbers. It comes with a letter tray, a mailing tube holder so your item doesn't roll off and a flat tray. The lifetime warrenty is a nice add on also.Customer Review: Accurate to about 5 - 10 grams

I wouldn't have believed it before using it but despite the 55 lb range, it is accurate to within about 10 grams (~ 0.3 oz).
The surface area is pretty small, so I put a laundry basket on top of it, set the weight to zero and then add things to the laundry basket. I know it is accurate because if I weigh a light object and find it to be, say 0.3 oz, and now add a 30 lb package and let's say it reads 31 lbs 5 oz.. if I remove the light object, the machine reads 31 lbs 4.7 oz. That's pretty remarkable.
Well, my machine is only a week old.. let's hope it keeps this accuracy.

I sell quite a bit on Ebay, so to keep my shipping rates as accurate as possible, I wanted to use a shipping scale. When I started seeing the prices, I was dumbstruck. I couldn't find anything digital under 50-60 dollars! Luckily I happened upon this scale, and I have been so pleased with it. It's easy to set up and use, very accurate, and most impressively, it's super affordable! If you ship frequently and need accurate weights and measures, this is the scale for you!
Pros: Affordable, easy set up, easy use.
Cons: I honestly have not found anything bad to say about it.
