Customer Review: MOTOROKR S9 Vs Motorola S305
Summary: 4 Stars

I have both the Motorola MOTOROKR S9 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones as well as the Motorola S305 Bluetooth Stereo Headset.

the bottom line:
The S9 would have to be my overall choice if your trying to make the same decision I had to make. The S9 is a little more cumbersome (heavy) and the in-ear mounts are,...well "violating my ear holes". But for a bluetooth unit, it wins because there is little or no lag time as with the S305 (making any game or movie your playing,...well ridiculous) AND recognition of the S305 is spotty compared to the S9. The only place the S305 wins is IF your only listing to Music (don't care about lag) and IF you main desire is to have a VERY light non-in-ear headphone.

To be honest, I'll use both I'm sure. The S305 is going to be great for travel when I just want to kick back and drown out my surroundings. The S9 will be great for more attention minded activities (games, working out etc).

Customer Review: Decent headphones.
Summary: 5 Stars

I use these for running and when i'm at work.
I have to say the problems i have had are probably itouch related and not the headphones.
My forward and back between tracks button does not work, everything else does.
My friend has the HD pair and his does not work either, we are both convinced that it is the iTouch causing this because my other friend has the same pair and uses his with his cell phone and his works.

Once connected i can walk out of our IT room into the kitchen past two walls and still hear my music. So thats at least 30-40ft maybe more.

The sound quality is good. I had some issues with them hurting my ears at first but once i switched to the bigger earphone attachments they feel very comfortable now.

I use these to run every other day, from 3-8 miles. Again i have had no problems with them. you can literally jump up and down and they stay on your head.
Nice product.

Customer Review: MotoRokr is a little "rocky"
Summary: 4 Stars

Pros: I like the fit and feel of this product and the sound is good from a volume and bass quality perspective. The charge seems to last reasonably long. The controls take a little getting used to, but their placement makes logical sense and they are responsive and they give you positive audio confirmation.

Cons: My problems with this product are the way the audio "skips" due to the weak bluetooth signal (or at least that is what it seems to stem from). I have never had a problem with my PC or Blackberry's audio with hard wired earbuds or headphones. The other problem is that the silicone covers are very easily lost and not convenient to replace. The only place I have seen them is a three pack from the Motorola store for about $10 and then five business days for standard shipping, unless you want to pay more to expedite the shipping. I also saw a bulk quantity on eBay from somewhere in Asia.

Customer Review: battery makes this a bad product
Summary: 2 Stars

Although the sound is good on this product, the battery is NOT replaceable. I have had this less than a year and the battery life is less than 20 minutes now. Connectivity is dropped constantly. I have tried connecting this to two different laptops and two phones, all of which do fine with other headsets. Very disappointing, except when it works on occasion.
I would not buy this again, and resent a company claiming to be 'green', but then provides no way to replace the battery except to send it to them with 'proof of purchase'. If I have the product, and it doesn't work, fix it or offer me a way to do that myself. Don't make me prove anything. I can only imagine that everyone of these will eventually fail, and people will pick them up second hand and want them to work. A redesigned product would make the battery failure a non-issue. Don't buy this unless you can live with it lasting less than a year.

Customer Review: You could do worse
Summary: 3 Stars

I've owned the S9's since 2008 and up until last week they worked great. I was able to connect them with 3 different phones - only with the Droid Eris did I have problems with the phone capabilities. A little tricky to connect both the iPod and phone but once it was established it worked very well. As far as comfort goes I found that the design was made for people with lager heads than I have and found them most comfortable when wearing a baseball cap backward to help support the back. The battery lasted a long time on just an hour charge which was a bonus. Sound quality was mediocre at best, for what it was I wasn't expecting a whole lot but at the time I paid $120 and had higher expectations. Volume could have been louder, nice to be able to control on side of ear piece though. If I could fix mine I'd be happy but I'm not sure that I would buy them again without researching others first.
