I bought a Motorola H710 at a store over a year ago. Today I dropped my earpiece for about the 100th time and finally did it in, so while I'm searching for a new one (exact same make and model, yes it was that good) I figured I'd share.
I have two BT headsets. This H710 and a Jawbone 2 I won in a raffle. It took me about 2 days to figure out that the Jawbone 2 just wasn't going to fit my ear no matter what size earloop or rubber ring I put on it. After about an hour with the Jawbone on it literally hurt. I picked my H710 back up and kept the Jawbone around in case I ran the 710 out of battery (there are times I'm on 6+ hours of conference calls a day). I can wear the 710 forever and hardly even notice it. It's about equivalent to wearing well-fitting glasses. Additionally, I regularly got 6+ hours of talk time out of mine, even after owning it for a year.
Pros:
having different buttons for things was something I didn't expect to make that much difference, but it really did. I hated cycling through the volume levels of the Jawbone
Color indicators for power level remaining
The ability to switch between calls by using the headset buttons (hold the center button and press one of the volume buttons)
Pairing with multiple devices. Although make sure whatever you're going to be doing your calling from is the last one paired otherwise it will pass your voice command info to the wrong device
Cons:
While I almost always ask on the call if I'm coming through ok, and people say they can't hear any of the background noise (especially if it's continuous like road/wind noise in your car), they say that they can always tell I'm on a mobile. The call quality is "fine" they say, jsut not as good as on the handset. Of probably more than 1000 customers/conference calls I've talked to while using this headset, only 1-2 customers have ever asked me to use my handset instead.
No ability to set a preference on which handset has priority. If I walk out of BT range, there's no telling how my pairing is going to get reinitiated when I get back.
Mini-USB power plug. Yeah, this is a little picky, but when I'm on the road it would be very useful to have a more standard plug.
More than anything I think it speaks for itself that I'm back here to buy the exact same thing. It was a great value when I bought it at $50, now that it's under $30 I might just pick up two.
