What can I say.... it's wire. Got about 70w RMS / channel on 7 channels using about 280ft of this stuff. Sounds great. Didn't waste money on the banana plugs. Soldering iron and 15 seconds per connection and they tin out perfectly. Only issue was stripping the ends. You need a really sharp wire stripper to get the insulation only without taking out half the conductor wires.Customer Review: Excellent

I actually didn't buy this because of the Monster name brand, I bought this because it was the cheapest 100 ft. of 16 guage wire that I could find anywhere. It worked perfect too! It was a good length that setup my 5.1 surround system without a problem. Don't skip out on monster just because people say it is expensive. fair price for 100ft of cable. They were charging twice as much in store for some crappy looking stuff, so I went on Amazon and this is what I found first. looks like it's 16 gauge, and the exterior has so far been durable. I've ran this cable through a bunch of drywall and it's held up fine. sounds good so far with an Onkyo srs-608, and skb-70 speaker set. thumbs up.Customer Review: For the price.. GREAT

Whether or not you hear a difference in sound is based on a lot of factors from setup to equipment to knowledge of installation etc. But what i did notice was 100 ft of 16ga speaker wire for just over 25$ which i think is a good deal.
The jacket on this wire is VERY thick & durable and the interior wire seems good. No complaints for monster @ 25$ per spool.

Although the Monster brand is usually over priced, I found this wire to be right there with the "no-name" brands. Although you probably would not notice a difference over any other wire of the same gauge, the price is what did it for me. They work just fine of course on my surround sound system.
I would buy another spool again if I needed to.
