I travel frequently for work and this power strip has been great. I use it for my laptop, cell phone and bluetooth charging and many other things. I made two trips this week where there was only one available outlet and this power strip allowed me to operate everything I needed.
The one drawback is the length of the cord. It's only about a foot long so you can't get any extra reach out of it and if you plug it in an outlet that's lower on the wall you might need something to sit it on so it doesn't just hang from the outlet. No complaints, though. This is a great product for anyone who has a lot of technology to carry with them and need a small, convenient way to run/charge it all.

I do a fair amount of travel and the hotels never seem to have enough electrical outlets for my many tech gadgets, i.e. laptop, cell, headset, ipod, travel speakers, etc...one may say I am on overload, but I do like my toys.
This power strip is definitely a must have for the road warrior...or any traveler that runs into this same frustration. This handy device packs up small and gives me 4 outlets. Since it comes from Monster, I trust the quality.
One negative I would add is that it lights up the entire room with a blue glow. If you are like me and need a dark room to sleep, I suggest you just throw a sock over it. The usefulness of the device outweighs the glow.

I bought this to put inside one of those charging caddies. the caddy I bought was small and inside you could only put a very small power strip. I couldn't use it in the caddy because of the large plug on the end of the strip wouldn't fit through the hole in the back of the caddy. So I returned the caddy. I keep the power strip because I like it's small design. I can use it for charging my mp3 players and such instead of taking up space on my larger power stip. If your looking for something compact this is for you. It has four outlets and I think that's plenty unless you need more. You almost have to see it to believe it's size. ... glad we picked this up in advance. Never enough outlets in most domestic hotels, and it just gets more problematic when traveling overseas. Pair this Monster up with the necessary voltage converter and plug adapters, and you're good to go.
Pluses: compact size; wraps and plugs into itself for packing; flat plug fits those tight spaces behind the dresser or night table; outlets spaced far enough apart to accomodate wall-wart chargers; blue indicator light on plug tells you the juice is flowing.
Watch out for: right-angled plug may not work in all situations; short cord (12") may leave the strip dangling if the wall outlet's mounted too far from the floor.

I was originally using a cheap single outlet surge protector I got from a local electronics store. When I decided I needed something with more outlets (for the laptop and a portable hard drive) I did a Google search and found this. I loved the way it was designed to be compact and portable. The short power cable simply wraps around the outlets and plugs into one of them. Perfect to carry around in my laptop backpack. A better solution than carrying around a small power strip (which is what a friend does). It only cost about $15 when I bought it from Amazon, which is a fair price for something like this from Monster.
