I bought this power strip to use for travelling and based on some of the reviews I read, it seemed to indicate that this would be fine with European voltages. There were a few mixed messages but I gave it a shot. So I used a standard plug adapter and plugged this guy in and I can confirm that it works in both France and Greece. I had absolutely no issues with charging any of my electronics, whether it be a laptop, ipad, iphone, camera batteries, etc. One note for those who plan to use it in their hotel room - the top of the plug has an M on the top that illuminates. If you are sensitive to lights when you sleep it may bother me. I didn't notice it but my fiancee did. This is great for international travel, as you only need one international adapter to simultaneously charge all your gadgets. It's also great on a cruise ship, where there is frequently only one US-type plug on the desk where you can charge all your gear.
In general, it's very sleek and compact and great for travel. Would be nice for hotels as well, so you don't have to spread your charging items all over the room, trying to find outlets. It isn't heavy or bulky. This is perfect to charge my cell phone, video player, iPod and laptop all at once. It does emit a small bright blue LED light when in use, so I wouldn't place this item right next to my bed, but it's OK in a hotel room... kind of acts as a bonus nightlight.

This is a very handy power strip! It folds up compactly for travel. But is an excellent way to add lots of power ports in your bedroom when you are charging cell phones, ipods, and laptops!
The only minor complaint I have is that I wish the plug could swivel or rotate. Because it can wrap around and plug into itself, when you plug it into a wall outlet, the cord shoots out to the Left rather than straight down. But thats not a big deal and may even help if the wall outlet is behind furniture.
One last note, the backside of the plug glows blue when you plug it in. I don't know if that is a pro or a con. I guess it depends if you think that is cool, or annoying while trying to sleep in a dark room.

Just got back from a trip to Europe. I took this along and it worked fantastic! I used one adaptor to charge up to four devices at one time. Every thing we plugged in was rated for 110v-240v so I didn't need a convertor to go with it. I wrote to Monster customer service before ordering and they told me it would be fine to use without a converter and it was absolutely true. Used it in both France and England, no issues what so ever. I solved the problemm of most adaptors not accepting a 3 prong U.S. plug by buying a jump adaptor to plug into my international adaptor at the hardware store for less than $1. Ask the guy in the electrical department, he will point you to what you want. Good luck and don't worry, it works!Customer Review: I love this thing, especially for airports

This thing is a lifesaver especially when you are at an airport and can only find a lone outlet, but someone is already using it, or when all the outlets at those Samsung-sponsored power stations like at ATL and LAX are being used. You just ask someone if you can unplug their device for 2 seconds so you can connect this thing, and then not only do you both have power, but 2 more people can plug in, too. A must for any business traveler. The fact that the face of the plug lights up is also invaluable so you don't have to guess if you found a live outlet or not.
The only suggestion for improvement I'd make is it would be great if it also had one USB receptible to plug in any USB device.
