I have read the reviews for this cable, and the ones on the lower end have it. I performed a test with the Monster cable and cables from Monoprice.
The equipment used:
TV: Samsung 120Hz 650 1080
Blu-Ray: Samsung BD-P2500
1000HD Monster 4m Cable $129.00
Monoprice 1.3a Ultra High Speed 10ft Cable $6
The test:
Watching TV
Watching a Blu-Ray and regular DVD movie
I switched back and forth on the cables, and there was no difference in the quality. I had several witnesses to view and no difference in clarity or picture quality was seen. To be sure, I did not tell the people what cable was used at the time, but just to give comments.
After I did the research on AV HQ (these guys spent $200K on research!), CNet, Blue Jeans Cable, and HDMI.org I still had to be sure myself that the Monster cables were overrated. It may be hard to accept due to the price of the Monster cables, but I have learned expensive does not equate to better always. Educate yourself and do the the homework on HDMI.

Don't believe the hype that cheap cables are just as good. The people that sell the cheap stuff are the only ones saying that the cables are all the same. What Monster provides is documented evidence and clinical trials that show why higher quality cables are needed. Just because a cable looks the same out the outside doesn't mean it works the same on the inside, just like robots.
I did a test between this cable and a cheap-o cable on my 150" screen. I have an HD projector with a blu-ray machine hooked up so I'm getting the highest consumer grade video quality available. The quality may look fine on a tiny screen but so does VHS compared to DVD. Use a bigger screen and you can easily see the difference, once again the difference is as easy to see as VHS compared to DVD.
You spent thousands of dollars for a good tv and not a cheap brand where they claim does the same thing but actually doesn't. Do you want to fall into the same trap with your cables?

Monster should be ashamed of themselves. I'm really not sure how they sleep at night. They are practically outright lying to their customers. This cable is functionally no different than any other cable that you can buy for less than $10. As long as it is the latest HDMI standard version, it will function EXACTLY the same as one of Monster's cables---including bandwidth---and cost MUCH less. Monster does not have some magical cables that will somehow make your picture look so much better. A cable is a cable. Monster has been doing this since the analog days. I will admit that I was once duped into buying Monster audio cables back in those days because I didn't know any better. But that was analog, and cables "could" make a difference. Not so much in the digital world. Yet these crooks at Monster still insist on playing that same marketing game with their customers again here in the digital age. And stores like Best Buy are playing along. Spread the word, people. This has to stop. It's immoral. It's unethical. And it should be criminal.Customer Review: Is it worth the price?

When I signed up for HD cable service, my cable company gave me a cheap HDMI cable, so I decided to compare it to this Monster Cable, which I already owned, to see if I could tell the difference in picture quality. Believe it or not, the Monster was indeed better than the freebie cable, transmitting a sharper HD image, but it was not any noticeably different from the Belkin PureAV AV22300-12 12-Foot HDMI-to-HDMI Audio Video Cable, which I also have and which costs much less. The one thing the Monster Cable has over the others is a thicker, sturdier cable which *may* be more durable. The Monster cable is beautiful -- if you like cables; it has a sleek, high-tech look that the others don't.
If price is no object, then buying this ultra-high speed cable might be an option. It does its job, and it does it well. However, most consumers will want to look at more moderately priced HDMI cables such as the PureAV.

Bottom-line: Monster is the best there is! There is a reason it outsells everyone else. There is a reason why it sounds better, looks better, and performs better. Because IT IS THE BEST!!!! The other companies are completely outclassed. As a producer, musician, and technical professional, I have used and tested every company there is.... Hands down, Monster always gets the job done. They've pioneered the technology and raised the bar. Companies that can't compete just write blogs and try to change peoples minds. But, the fact is, what you get what you pay for. And, with Monster, you get the best! I have Monster in my home and my recording studio. It is the STANDARD. If you want something cheaper, go get it. There's plenty of products out there. Go get them. But, I guarantee that you won't be satisfied and that eventually you'll be back to Monster. This cable is GREAT!!!!!! Don't be fooled or misled. This is the cable you want for your home theatre. Monster is the best!!!!!!
