Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Light (Silver)Customer Review: It works!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
As a chronic insomniac, I've been on a long search for the perfect booklight. This may not be it, but it comes pretty damn close. The light is bright -- even using only one bulb -- so I can read without constantly moving the light. The battery use is negligible, I'm still using the factory issued bulbs after three weeks, so I don't have to fuss with a converter and cord. The clip is generous and the neck very flexible. This is the first light of its type that I can clip to the headboard of my bed and it illuminates a whole page book that's lying next to my pillow (I like to read lying on my side). I can't speak to it's long term survival; but for now, I'm a happy customer.
Customer Review: Great as a booklight *and* as a laptop light Summary: 5 Stars
I've owned a bunch of booklights and this one is by far the best.
Pros:
* It delivers a strong beam that covers two pages of a hardback book
* The clip opens nice and wide. (more on this later)
* The clip has padding on both sides so it holds without slipping. (this too)
* The flexible neck is ridged enough so the light stays where you set it.
* The price is very reasonable.
* As an added bonus THIS MAKES AN EXCELLENT LIGHT FOR YOUR LAPTOP/NETBOOK! Thanks to the padded clip being able to "open wide" you can clip it to your screen and it is perfect for lighting up your keyboard.
Cons: None!
Customer Review: They're not kidding! Summary: 5 Stars
The company that manufactures this light is called Mighty Bright, and for good reason! The lamp gives off more than enough light to read by in a pitch black room. It has two brightness settings, one with both LEDs and another with just one. The LEDs in this lamp are so bright, that only one is really needed, having two is an added bonus. I'm not using a power adatpter, I'm running off of 3 AAA batteries. LEDs use such a small amount of power, those batteries should last me a year or more. Overall I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this light. With such a fair price I didn't think it would really hold up, but I'm definitely going to recommend it.
Customer Review: I can see to read!! Summary: 5 Stars
Time being what it is during the day pretty much precludes the luxury of pleasure reading, so...this pastime is relegated to the evening hours, usually in bed. My wife does the same, but 5 minutes into her book, yawns and says,"I'm just too tired to read". The main overhead lights go out and I'm stuck with using a reading light. I've gone through a number of these over the years and have found the Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 to be the best I've ever owned. Period. Bright enough to light up any page, even on the lower single LED setting and the neck stays right where you want it be. Also works great as a a bedside light when traveling.
Customer Review: best reading light Summary: 5 Stars
I have had many book lights and this one is by far the best. Sharper Image has a good one, with a leather case and its stylish and pretty bright. But it lost its power over the years, and still it never was as bright as this one by Mighty Bright. I had another from Barnes and Noble with 3 bulbs and was also quite bright. But it lost power easily and now doesn't work at all. That's is why I purchased this book light and it is great! Very bright and light weight, flexible so that you can have the light hit whatever amount of the page or pages you choose, and two different levels of brightness to choose from.
