This light does what it should. You can clip it to your Kindle; however, you may may want to have a Kindle cover to clip it to so you won't scratch your Kindle (as I did with a different light). I've noticed a light reflection at times on the Kindle. Also, I've noticed the light turned on accidentally in my bag, so make sure it's always off. Customer Review: Great Book light

The Might Bright book light is one of the best products I have bought for my Kindle. It has a two light settings and works perfect to read in bed. I use it daily and feel it is one of the best book lights out there. I wanted a light for my first generation Kindle and this one is excellent!
The clip is strong enough that it doesn't need to be entirely seated to hold. I just clip the very end and it stays in place fine. Doesn't cover any of the reading material or mess with my next page lever.
The neck is tight and strong. Stays where I put it.
Operates in 1 or 2 bulb mode. I have never had to use 2 bulb (other than to test). This thing lights the entire page perfectly in complete darkness. No hot spots. Just pleasant reading light.
Uses 2 AAA batteries (included) I have used it a bunch and no sign of weakening.
Push button (not slide) on/off switch. Much harder to accidentally turn on and waste your batteries.
I can't speak to durability yet but it seems very solid and well made. I like it so much that even if it lasted only 6 months, I would purchase another.

The light is great as it is bright and made of plastic so it doesn't scratch the Kindle. I am however a little surprised that there isn't a light more "Kindle Specific". That is one that is a little smaller and would fit in the case with the Kindle. Good bargain though and two light settings which is a very nice feature.
