I was disappointed with the 2-way radio. Upon receiving my 2-way radio I was happy see my order had arrived after 2 1/2 weeks, but to my disappointing to see one of the set and the desk top charger was not working. Having email to midland about the problem I have and I could not test the set. This is my first to buy from the net, I don't know whether I will order any from the net? Customer Review: I love it.

I bought 2 sets of this to use on 2 car family vacation. We talked to each other on the freeway and in Sequoia National Park (no cell reception). It worked well. The furthest we used was about 2 miles. I am not sure if it will really go 20 miles.
It's good alternative to cell phone. You can talk to multiple people with it. This makes communication among group of people easy.

Took this out first time with my friend who had a 30 mile audiovox walkie with 42 channel, privacy codes, NOAA alerts ect... Standing right next to each other on mountain top overlooking the city, his would get reception on several channel where this Midland would not.
I looked at several when I ordered these and think I clicked on the wrong one.. I was pretty disappointed when I found it only had 22 channel and no privacy codes.

Just picked these up for my birthday. Wanted to use them primarily for camping. For the price, you can't beat this radio. Great range, lots of channels (but be careful to use 8-14 unless you have a special license). Great product!
