This is the second pair of Midlan radios we own, and they are just OK. By saving a few dollars on this pair you loose several things, specifically the privacy of other versions such as the GXT650 that we own. For the extra money, I would recommend them.Customer Review: One of my best purchases

This was one of my best purchases for the kids. They have been played with so much I couldn't even tell you. They do have a long ranges for kids to play with as well. They are very sturdy as well. Well played with in our house.

These are very well I use them for bike patrol in the summer and they work great when requesting Police, Fire, and EMS. I've saved many lifes requsting EMS with these they come in very handy when needed.
