The product seems ok - but it is hard to tell because one of the batteries was not working. Charging for 24+ hours resulted in nothing. Since it was the Christmas holiday, the company was closed until yesterday. I called, and after a little runaround, a new battery is now being sent to me. I hunt, we explore, and just while the kids are outside playing in the neighborhood the 4 radios I purchased help us to remain in contact. The range seems adequate in our neighborhood for the kids to go play and stay in communication and in the woods these radios really show their stuff.
I highly recomend these radios to anyone with similar needs.

My family used these for my several hundred-mile move -- one in the car, one in the moving truck. We were rarely out of sight of each other, so I can't say much about the range of the radios, but the signal was usually clear. I bought these for my young sons. They're out and about in the neighborhood, inside and outside, but these things work great. Resistentes a los golpes, al agua, tienen buen alcanze, los utilizo cuando voy de viaje en mi carro y mis amigos en carretera... son muyyyy buenoss los recomiendoooo en la ciudad me da un alcanze mas o menos de unos 1.5 kms nada ams... en capo abierto ya alcanza unos 25 a 30 kms, comprobado !
