I purchased this new mouse to replace original mouse with my Gateway system.
This mouse has all most anyone would want, unless you need a cordless model.
It has operated flawlessly and is very smooth, as no ball is under this mouse.
I don't know the life expectancy of this model, but whatever it is, I would consider buying another at the price I paid.

This bright eyed little desk rodent makes my computer function without fail. I didn't give it 5 stars only because left clicking on the screen scroll bar with this mouse takes big jumps rather than tiny moves that I was used to with my old dead mouse. I haven't been able to adjust that movement to my liking. Desk dust doesn't matter anymore with the optical movement.Customer Review: Good basic mouse

It was a nice, simple mouse though I am now in the market of buying a mouse with more buttons (I like the intellimouse) after this one broke. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, the right click button broke and stopped working. No, I didn't abuse the mouse. I am sure it is some kind of freak thing but oh well.
Good mouse, cheap price, go for it!

This mouse was inexpensive and looks & feels that way. I don't like the wheel. It's noisy and clunky and does not spin smoothly. Also, the mouse is just too big for my hand. It's like trying to steer a brick around on my desk.
I don't like it. I'm going back to my tiny Targus travel-size optical mouse until I find one I like better.

If you need a simple, comfortable and reliable mouse, this is it. I have three at home and one at work. I have never had a single problem with any of them. The mouse has a good tactile feel and fits an average sized adult hand perfectly. I don't normally rate things with five stars but I can not honestly find a reason to knock it down a star.
