Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Microsoft Wheel Optical MouseCustomer Review: Solid Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using this mouse for about a decade with no problems.
Originally I had bought a 2-pack, 1 failed a few years ago and now my current mouse is failing.
These things keep on ticking.
Now I'm thinking of rebuying this, or going with a 3-pack of Microsoft OEM mouse.
Either one is fine for the standard home/office user I'm sure.
If you want to treat yourself don't buy a more expensive mouse, order a "mouse rug" they really spruce up your desk and look great.

Customer Review: A high-quality optical mouse - excellent value Summary: 5 Stars
The Microsoft Wheel Optical Mouse is an excellent replacement for a conventional ('ball') mouse. I replaced two of my old mice with these and am very pleased - no more unresponsive cursors as a sign the ball needs a bit of attention! By the way, I have one mouse running under a Microsoft Windows system and the other under a Red Hat Linux system - both without any problems. If you are fearing compatibility issues, no need to worry. Everything works out of the box.
This is a great mouse at a good price - and it looks slick in black.
Customer Review: I use it on a Mac Summary: 5 Stars
I have always loved this mouse. I like it even better than the high end mice that have briefly captured my attention. It's cheap, it always works, and it's just as comfortable as the expensive mice (mouses?). I use it on my macbook pro. No problems installing or using.
The only thing that might pull me away from this mouse is mac's multi-touch track pad. If they make a large external version of that I'll give up mice for good. (but I'll miss this great Microsoft product for sentimental reasons)
Customer Review: very good basic mouse; need to load driver to use with mac Summary: 4 Stars
I've been using this mouse for over a month now. It's very good for the price and serves the purpose. It's a basic optical mouse with two buttons and one scroll wheel. No need to install any drivers unless you want to use it in a mac. The mac driver is horribly slow. Mac users would love the right click button, but make sure you load the microsoft driver.
One annoying thing (may be just me) is the red tail light which is lit 'all' the time, even when the PC is shut down.
Customer Review: Bought 3 - all working great, good value Summary: 5 Stars
Bought 3 to replace my old Logitech optical mouse which broke after 3 yrs of daily use, and to replace my wife's old mechanical ball mouse which was giving her a lot of trouble. I had used Microsoft mice before at work with good experience, so bought these from Amazon on sale. These new mice all installed with no problem, they track well and the wheel works fine. Wife loves it. These are not fancy, but work well and have everything most people need for a low price. Good value.
