Ive owned this exact mouse (but in the white color) for 5 or 6+ years and it just now as of this month is finally showing signs that its time to get a new one. Ive used this mouse for my digital art since day one and its always worked so well. I tried getting a 'fancy' new mouse, a $40 Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 with the new 'blue track' technology. But it just didn't have the same smoothness as this simple, humble little mouse. Well, my art and I arn't agreeing with said fancy mouse, so Im coming on Amazon to get another one of these guys. Never thought I'd see the day where a $40 mouse would be gathering dust while the most basic one will be the one I keep close at all times. :)Customer Review: Good but not perfect

I have used this mouse for 6 months now. It is a replacement for the original Dell track-ball mouse that came with the computer. Overall, it is a good mouse but I routinely expereince mouse jitters( ~2 seconds ) during switching of web page from one to another. I never had this problem with the original Dell track-ball mouse. As a web based computer game player, I hit the mouse button probably 300 times a day on the average and the left mouse switch is showing early signs of wear after 6 months of use( that is 54,000 clicks ). I hope this mouse will last for at least a year. All in all, this is a good mouse but its durability is something remained to be seen.Customer Review: My favorite mouse

I bought this mouse to replace an identical one that finally wore out after many years of home use. I also have another one that I bought for work to replace the lesser mice supplied there, and that one has also seen many years of use and is still going strong. When it eventually wears out, I will be replacing it with yet another MS Wheel Optical Mouse. I've used "ergonomic" mice that hurt my hand, and small travel mice that drove me crazy, and I just keep coming back to this mouse, which is the perfect size for hours of work, functions well on mousepads or hard surfaces, doesn't require batteries, and lasts for many years.Customer Review: the once perfect mouse is now far from perfect...

This used to be a well-made mouse, but not anymore. I have an older version of this mouse that I bought in August 2002, and I still use it. Unfortunately, they've changed something in how they make this mouse and it's not worth your money.
I ignored the more recent reviews (which did not rate this mouse favorably) and bought another one of these mice just a couple of months ago, and already it has started to click incorrectly if my finger hits the button at certain angles. And the other day, my cursor started shaking around randomly. So I no longer recommend this product.

Customer Review: Good, basic laser mouse

If you're looking for a basic inexpensive laser mouse, this one is great. I bought it for my girlfriend at Christmas for her laptop, she was sick of the touchpad, I don't blame her. My only complaint is that it's a little big for a laptop. I know, I know, I should have bought a smaller one; but the smaller one I have doesn't work well and doesn't have any weight to it. Having a mouse that has a little weight is nice, and you probably wouldn't understand until you've tried one that's feather light.
I'm considering buying one of these for myself, however I'm also considering a trackball style mouse.
