I bought this to stop using the keyboard on my laptop. The software installed flawlessly and my laptop instantly recognized the keyboard (I use Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2).
The keys have a nice touch, and are very responsive. The keyboard itself is well laid out.
The keyboard has five favorite keys that can be customized to open various programs, folders, or files. In addition, you can easily reprogram the keys for My Documents, etc. There are also lots of different function keys.
The volume control buttons(raise,lower,mute) are handy.
The plastic wrist rest is comfortable, and made it unnecessary to buy a separate gel wrist rest.
Unlike some wireless keyboards, I have not had a single problem with any of the keys not functioning as they should. I definitely recommend this.
Update 11/2/07: I just bought a second one since the first one worked so well. The second is just as good.

This is a great keyboard hands down. Comfortable to type and has all the extras I would want. For the price, i expected less quality than what this keyboard actually is. After using it for a number of days, I ended up replacing the keyboard of other computers at home and at work! Great buy, the only surprise is how good it is. A few notes about the product.
All of the extra keys are assignable plus it has 5 'my favorites' keys which are extremely useful. It also has the option to let the function keys do other functions, They can be re-assigned, but nevertheless i do not find them that useful.
The quality is surpassed my expectations, As a whole it feels really solid. All keys are easy to press and reasonably quiet. The plastic used does not feel that cheap.
The zoom slider is rather useless in windows XP. (I am not sure about Vista) it does not work in any of my programs,
Overall a superb keyboard I highly recommend!

I am glad that this multimedia keyboard has a very good feel and the software worked well without problem. I used this keyboard for both gaming and typing and I really liked it for some time.
But only few days after I bought the keyboard, I found out that this keyboard is not too strong; the flip feet underneath suddenly broke and my keyboard cannot stand anymore.
Too bad, I see other people with the same keyboard and same problem. Even on one case, some stuffs on the lower part of the keyboard that connected with the flip feet also broke as well, don't know why.
The only reason I give this product a 2-star ratting is because the multimedia button, the feel of the keyboard and also the "problemless" software.
Should be 5 star if the keyboard is stronger, too bad. I am planning to get a new logitech g11 to replace this keyboard, hope it will work well with me.

My hat is off to Pinecone. The first keyboard I received did not function properly. Alex contacted me and offered to test out another to ensure it worked, and he shipped it out immediately along with a pre-paid return label for the defective keyboard. I just received the keyboard and it is magnificent!! Thank you Alex! After reading the raving reviews about this media keyboard, I was distraught when the original keyboard did not perform. Pinecone has made everything right, and for that they get 5+ stars! Thanks again Alex. If you have media center, don't hesitate to make this purchase. The keys are fluid and soft to the touch. Pictures, music, documents with the touch of just one button. The zoom feature is nice for that small legal print. Messanger is a one touch feature also. I decided on this keyboard as it was not priced as high as the others. The keyboard has the extra features I wanted above the F keys such as my documents, my pictures, my music, mail, web home and even messenger. It also has extra keys for the media player such as play, fast forward and rewind, and also has volume control and mute. It even has extra keys in which one can save their favorite sites. A side slider for those who want to do a close up for pictures. (It actually works) The letter keys are kind of flimsy, (narrower than the older board letter keys) so it may feel uncomfortable for those with stubby fingers or wide hands. One has a choice to use a USB connection to connect to the computer.(Exactly what I was looking for) The USB connection comes with an adapter just in case one has a need to use the older type connection so it works both ways. For the price, the keyboard is well worth it.
