This Product is overall effective, I purchased it b/c as you all may know the grip on the entry level nikons can become uncomfortable. This grip help to decrease that discomfort. It is also effective when taking vertical shots, the only downfall for me is that everytime i cut of my Camera i have to apply the settings before im able to use it in vertical mode. I am Happy i made this purchase without a doubt and would recomend it to anyone who is consedering adding one to there camera.Customer Review: Great product

In comparison to other brands out there, this was the cheapest and had fairly good review here in amazon and nikonian.org. The grip fits and blend perfectly with my Nikon D40x. So far, I'm very happy with this purchase. Adding the grip really makes my camera look professional. I have a (2.8, 80-200mm lens) which is very heavy and awkward when carrying it. This grip really does balance the weight of the 2.8 lens. For the price and quality, I highly recommend this product.Customer Review: Excellent Buy

I just received my battery grip yesterday. I had been shopping around for a while, but kept coming back to the Targus model because of its look and the reviews. I wasn't disappointed at all. The fit/finish are perfect; does not look like a cheesy add-on. The feel of the grip in my hands is very good and the storage of the camera's battery cover is an excellent idea. I don't anticipate any issues as I begin to put it thru a full regimen of shooting.Customer Review: Great product

I received mine yesterday and installed it right away. Perfect for my D40. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a grip. The installation was simple but I wish the instructions were in much bigger prints. It also has a "pocket" to store the battery cover of the camera (that's neat). I had to Google how to remove the battery cover just to be sure I will not break it. Other than that, everything's okay.Customer Review: all ok, but feels like plastic

this grip is a good value for money, compatibility is great and functionality the same. But compared to other compatible solutions (for Canon, for example) this one has a not so good feeling to it. It is entirely plastic, with no rubber, and feels a bit cheap. Still, robustness and quality are good, maybe it's just a matter of taste. I would still recommend it, it's well built and probably durable.
