Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Memorex 16X DVD-R (100-Pack Spindle)Customer Review: Excellent DVD-Rs Summary: 5 StarsI purchased this item earlier this year expecting this item to have a high failure burn rate. I have burned through about 50-60 DVD-Rs and I have only had three to four fail. (of course there has to be non corrupted files for it to not fail). I have been very surprised and would buy Memorex DVD-Rs again. Would definitely recommend these DVD-Rs to anyone.
Pros-
Lots of DVD-Rs in the 100 pack spindle
Low disc failure rate
Holds a lot of music, picture, and other small data.
Cons-
Doesn't hold a lot of video data
(there's no more cons that I can think of)
Hope this review helps!
Customer Review: Great Quality on Blank Media Summary: 5 Stars
Another brand that I barely find a coaster on is the Memorex DVD-R's. It is as par as with the Maxells, Sony's, Verbatims and RiDatas that I have used before. I am just trying to stay away from unknown brands that is kind of a hit or miss. The thing with DVD's or CD's is that when you find a bad one, it seems to be bunched into the same stack as they were manufactured at the same place and at the same time. My recommendation is not to burn DVDs or CDs using the maximum speed, the chance of a bad burn tend to be much much less if you use the next slower speed indicated on the media. Same as filling up the data capacity, 4200mb seems to work best for me as filling up the DVD to the edge may become problematic.
Customer Review: blank memorex dvd's Summary: 5 StarsThese dvd's are very reliable. I have had very few failures compared to other brands. Ordering from amazon.com is very easy and shipping is reliable, but the best deal is the price, can't be beat.
Customer Review: Great DVDs Summary: 5 StarsLove Memorex DVDs. Been using them for years and never had a bad one.
Customer Review: Defective!!!! Summary: 1 StarsI've used Memorex DVDs before without a problem, but these ar defective. So far about 2 out 5 cause errors and there is the same cone shaped line that appears on all of the half written DVD. Factory defective? or vendor swindled?
