Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Memorex High Performance AA Alkaline Batteries, 50 PackCustomer Review: Not for digital cameras Summary: 3 Stars
These batteries are fine for toys, remote controls, etc, but not for battery eaters like digital cameras. I guess they just don't have high capacity although they are called "high performance". I used to use these in my Canon A510, and 2 batteries would be gone in like 2 hours! It is a big hassle to keep changing batteries, especially when you are travelling. I blamed my camera at first, but when I tried a pair of 2500mah rechargables, I know the difference - The battery life is at least 2-3 times longer!
Customer Review: For What We Use These Batteries For; They Are AA OK! Summary: 4 Stars
AA Batteries sure come in handy around here. We have seven battery operated clocks and all seven use AA's. We also have Remote Controls and a small radio plus other items that use AA's. Now you see why I bought this 50 Pack. The expiration date on my 50 pack is December 2011 and I bought these Batteries from Amazon a few Months ago. For what I use these batteries for; they are holding up great. Priced right too. Definitely worth it!
Customer Review: These are excellent batteries for keeping your portable media going.Good bang for your buck,at 10 bucks wow. Summary: 5 Stars
These batteries are excellent. They perform just as well as the major brands.A 5 star rating. The price vs performance ratio cannot be beat.If you are tired of buying batteries every other week try these Please note the package i received was opened, and was cut,by scissors, all the bateries flew out of the shipping box when opened it .I guess someone thought this was funny.thanks I thank you Stewart L.
Customer Review: Great deal! Rechargables? Watch out for lower voltage! Summary: 5 Stars
Great deal, now at 20¢ each.
When thinking about rechargeable batteries,
be aware that many (if not all) have a full
charge voltage of 1.25V, while the alkalines
have 1.5V -- some equipment, like the flash
attachment on my digital camera, will NOT work
with 4 rechargeable batteries (5V) but WILL WORK
with 4 alkalines (6V). Test before making major
purchases...
Customer Review: Didn't last long for me Summary: 3 Stars
I use a portable Discman that takes 2 double A's, and just finished my multpack of Energizers. So based on its reviews I tried these out. However in my discplayer, these last only about 2 weeks before I get a low battery indication. With the Energizers I only had to change them once a month.
With other electronics such as remote controls, you may not notice the performance diffrence.
