Customer Review: Works perfectly with slot loading MacBook Pro

I was having trouble reading some DVD's, and looked into ways of fixing it. This laser cleaner came up a lot, and I decided to give it a try. When I received it, I was scared to use it with the slow loading drive in my MacBook Pro because it is literally a CD with 5 or 6 little brushed on the bottom, and I feared it would get stuck in the slot loading drive. Inserted the disk, it made some crazy noises for about a minute, popped the disk out, and the drive reads the previously unreadable disks PERFECTLY now. I recommend this product 100% to anyone with a slot loading drive on a Mac that is having trouble.Customer Review: Doesn't work with anything but a cd player.

Unfortunetly, the reason I got this was for the DVD player in my computer, home theater, and xbox. I really couldn't find anything on what this disc would be compatible with but for $5, it isn't a big deal. Seems to work just fine for my cd player in my computer and home theater though. So as far as a cleaner for your cd player, this product seems to work just fine and is at a reasonable price. Takes about 3 minutes or so to clean the lens and then you can choose whether or not you wish to calibrate your home theater's speakers or not. Seems I have something in common with the July 20th review.Customer Review: worked great

i am so happy with this product, i thought my older 250 watt sharp cd player was headed for the scrap heap. first it would not read disc 2, then it would not read disc 3, only disc 1 worked and then that started skipping.....
i used this product and all issues are now resolved, player plays great, i also used this in my older koss dvd player, and although player had no issues, i decided it was about time it too be cleaned...
highly recommend this cleaner, also it is very reasonably priced here at amazon when comparing same type items in the stores....

Our main DVD/CD player stopped recognizing DVDs abruptly, but CDs continue to play fine. The Memorex device is a simply CD with 5 tiny brushes to clean the lens - that's it - plus audio features to align speakers and so on. the funky DVD player did NOT recognize the Memorex product, so we couldn't cycle through the audio instuctions and features. DVD performance continued to fail also. No benefit. I tried it in a working DVD player and this also did not recognize it. If this is the basic design of similar micro soft brush devices, this one ought to work as well as any.Customer Review: Excellent item.......I highly recommend it!!!

Hey, don't run to the repair shop just yet and don't kick that DVP/DVR to the curb too soon.......help is on the way!!! My DVR was giving me grief not reading or writing to discs properly until I fed it this Memorex CD/DVD Laser Lens Cleaner. WOW, it worked like magic!!! It's been nearly 3 weeks already and not a single error message and it plays and records like the day I purchased it. If you own a CDP/DVP/DVR a Memorex Laser Lens Cleaner may save you a costly trip to a repair shop......it certainly did in my case!!! Just my two cents.
