Customer Review: Excellent replacement CD cases

After our last overseas move, we found that careless packers had thrown all our CDs together in a box, w/o any padding or wrapping. This resulted in ~30 cracked cases. I was happy that I could buy this pack of 10 to try (vs 100). They worked really well, so I bought 2 more packs to finish the job.
I would say that the quality/thickness of the cases is similar to what you get with new CD's now. Some of the older (cracked) cases that I replaced were definitely thicker, but were also slightly yellowing from age. I was very pleased with the quality of this product. (I'm even considering buying another pack to keep on hand as spares...)
The only caveat I would add is that it can be tricky to remove the tray (in order to put the artwork in the back). I didn't crack any of the trays doing it, though. Once I got the hang of it, it was quite easy (though my thumbnails definitely suffered as a result!) :-)
Wish Amazon carried the same product line with a double jewel case!

These cases are exactly as advertised: 100 percent clear, full-size jewel cases, just like the ones used by the record companies. Easy to take apart, easy to reassemble.
I disagree with a previous review that these are fragile: Like all jewel cases, they may crack or break, but I've used several and none cracked when taking either the cover or the tray out.
I fully agree with the review that praises the small unit size; I, too, don't need piles of these things, just enough to replace cracked cases in my collection.

It is a very basic item - Memorex CD/DVD jewel cases with clear tray, we just couldn't find them in stores. We were only finding the slim cases. Anyway, the product is fine - everything is as it should be. We will DEFINITELY NOT purchase this (or anything else) from Amazon! Shipping for this item and the other item came to just about as much as the actual merchandise! It is completely outrageous! We will just go to the source (Amazon was listing these items for other sellers who have online stores).

It's easy enough to find replacement CD jewel boxes at a local store, but not as easy to find jewel boxes with clear inserts. Quite a few music CDs come with clear inserts and have some kind of photo located under the CD storage well. These Memorex cases are of very good quality and it's nice to be able to replace jewel cases with broken parts on my favorite CDs.Customer Review: Very nice cases

a single one of them came with even the minimum scratch. Wow. They are not flimsy or too fragile as some other brands available. Overall, very pleased. Will order more if I get to need them again.
