These case inserts have always been perfectly sized for the task and print well. I have used them for years. BUT in the last couple of years, the perforations have changed. The excess areas do not tear away as easily as they used to. It takes about twice as long to tear away the excess (you have to do some pre-emptive folding on the perf line) & you are constantly fighting little pieces that make the edges ragged. This is based on several purchases over the course of a couple of years, not just one bad batch. I recently used an insert from an old package I found in a drawer and the "tear away" difference was very obvious. The old perf line split with just a slight tug (you did not even have to pre-fold) but it never split during printing. I stil endorse them and will keep using them, but the previous editions were of higher functional quality.Customer Review: Not for professional use.

The software is some what cumbersom to use and doesn't offer some of those little things we enjoy like spell check. The card stock is what it is. And it is card stock that is perfectly perferated so that all you have to do is fold and tear and slide it into your dvd case (cut one side if using slim dvd case). That is what I like most about this paper. Print and rip. You don't have to use a cutting board or try cutting a straight line with scissors. The down side is that it is a thicker card stock, the sort used when you print your resume and use paper that is a bit more than just plain paper. The prints are certainly not the quality you get when you buy a dvd, but hey when your burning dvds and stealing cover art from the internet. Why not? I use a Mac and also use Disc Cover 2 for my insert label printing. I'm sure its a program issue but when I select the Memorex template it always prints the image too small and I have a white border. It never lines up with the spine perforations which is my biggest complaint. The spine perforations seem to be too wide so when you put it in a standard dvd case it overlaps both the front and back, bleeding the spine image. I also use Meritlines and they don't have a spine perforation and the template in the disc program always lines up.
The paper is thicker and whiter then many others out there and that is why I like the Memorex better other than the spine perforation issue.

Memorex provides free download software to use with these inserts. What they don't tell you is the case inserts paper size is A4. I have used these for about three years now and have created hundreds on perfect inserts on both HP and Brothers printers. The only errors were my own. Be sure the paper in loaded properly and paper guide is properly adjusted. Be sure the printer knows the proper paper size, A4 for DVD inserts and Letter for disc labels. If your looking for inserts with vivid colors , and high quality contrast, forget it. The paper stock that Memorex has chosen to use for their inserts, offer low res printing results, with very little attention
to values needed to produce professional DVD covers. I use Adobe Photoshop and print on an Epson Stylus R2400 printer to create custom DVD covers for my clients; and found this product not up to par. The product is probably passable for those who wish to create covers for a home library, but not for the professional
