Customer Review: Disc became unreadable after less than 3 months

Burned one disc that gone bad after less than 3 months. It was OK when I burned it. Used it for 3 months before suddenly quit working. I am pretty sure it was the disc and not the drive or my computer because other Blu-ray discs from Panasonic work just fine. I tried 2 different drives and I had the same problem. Tried Vista and XP with latest patches and service packs, same problem. Tried CD Roller to recover my lost data and it couldn't find anything.
I swear that I will never use Memorex again. All my valuable data are lost because of them.
If anybody has any idea how to recover it, please reply to this message.

I have always been fond of Memorex blank media. From the early days of blank CDs to DVDs and now Blu Ray, Memorex has come a long way to create exceptional quality optical media.
I purchased this spindle few days back and have so far burned all the 15 discs with no coasters! The media ia rated at 4x and works flawlessly with my burner. Even the build quality of the media is too good, I haven't seen such a smooth surface on the circumference of any other media (hold the disc from its edges and you'll notice what I am saying). I highly recommend this to anyone looking for cheap and high quality blu ray discs.

I've been using these for my wedding video business for about 3 months now, and it's been fantastic. I use a Sony HDR-FX1 to shoot, MacBook Pro (running Snow Leopard) + Final Cut Studio 3 to edit, and a LaCie D2 external BluRay burner to create the discs. Great setup and no issues so far with these discs. Worked fine when I first bought them, 6 months ago. Have used about half the spindle. Now, all remaining are bad (will not even write). I have not yet checked the ones I recorded, but based on other's experience, I may well have lost the home movies I stored on them. If so, sounds like class action lawsuit time, as this product's performance is well below acceptable standards for BD-R media longevity. Will try to return, and demand that Amazon pull this product. No more Memorex, Maxell, or Ritek disks for me.
