In spite of the 341 mostly glowing reviews of this wire the one they sent me was a piece of junk. It did not transmit the program from the cable box and when I tried to select the input on the TV screen it would not allow me to select the input that it was plugged into but only the other one. When I plugged it into the other one the same thing happened in reverse. Optimum, giving great technical support, advised me to reverse the wire and then it worked but I don't think the picture was as good as the picture transmitted through the RCA plug wires that came with the HD cable box. I called Optimum, my cable company, back to explain this phenomenon and they attribute the problem to a poor quality wire. I was plugging into a new Samsung 40" HDTV LN 40B500. It was particularly irksome to me because it was very difficult to snake the wire behind the cabinet from the box to the TV and then have to do it again and now I will have to do it for a third time with a good wire. I purchased these cables after a friend told me that the $10.00 cables I bought at my local TV store were probably degrading my picture and were incapable of handling action movies w/o dropouts. I hadn't noticed a problem 'til he mentioned it (Damn him!). I watched the ads of the national box stores ("Mediocre Buy" and the TV store I purchased all four of my HD sets from) and cringed at idea of paying $60+ for a "Frankenstein" cable. I finally settled on these Mediabridge Ultra Series - 6ft High Speed HDMI Cable - Version 1.3 Category 2 Certified - 1080p - Blu-Ray - PS3.
What great luck for me! These Mediabridge cables are excellent! I am not a propeller-head so whenever I make an inspired choice I am delighted. These cables are great! They cost less than a third of the "Dracula" cables offered by Mediocre Buy. I am pleased beyond belief that I found a great buy that are great quality.
If you read the other reviews of these cables you will find some more technical evals... Take it from a non-techie who likes good movies reproduced well, these are a great buy and great quality!!!

When I recently purchased my new 46" Samsung 1080p TV from my local retailer the salesman informed me that I would need to also purchase a new "high speed" HDMI cable. They were selling these for $48.00. I never had a problem with the old HDMI cable that I had been using on my last 1080p TV (it was stolen during a burglary) so I was going to keep using that one. However, when I also purchased a new Samsung Blu-ray Htib, the "Anynet" system (a system that allows all the new Samsung digital products to communicate with one another) wasn't working properly. Even though the picture and sound seemed okay, the TV wasn't finding the htib system as a connected "Anynet" device. The Htib owner's manual recommends using a v1.3 HDMI cable. So, before returning the new htib system, I decided to try getting one of these newer cables. I found the Mediabridge cable for $10 on Amazon and after ordering it, had it in my hands within 3 or 4 days. It seems to be well built and should last indefinitely. The problem that I was experiencing was gone immediately after I installed the new cable and I've had no problems since.

I picked up a PS3 at gamestop as an impulse buy. I have a LG LCD 1080P HDTV and decided to shop around for hdmi cables. Here's what I found, $50, $75, $100 and up at Gamestop, Target and Best buy. When I got home I did some research and ordered these cables. They arrived 4 days later with standard shipping. What a difference in picture and sound. During the four days waiting I was using the standard AV cables provided by Playstation and was not happy. After hooking up these cables I played Madden and then watched Iron Man on Blue Ray. I could not be happier with the difference in picture quality and sound. These cables will match up to any $50 and up cables. I will be ordering two more to replace my HD DVR box cables and one for future purchases. Side not: I was a skeptic at first, "how could these cables be sooo cheap compared to common store prices" After reading many articles I realized that stores like best buy and others expect customers to forget about cables when they make big purchases. And who wants to get home and wait a week for cheaper cables in the mail while not taking advantage of full HD. Most consumers want it NOW NOW NOW... but they could have saved $100 by ordering these cables online.Customer Review: Great Bang For the Buck!

I bought two of the cables to connect my PS3 180G, and the surround sound 5-disk 1080i HD player That I picked up at a steal for about two hundred to handle the entertainment system's sound. Lately I have taken to playing DVD's in the sony surround sound system, and higher quality discs in the Station that works in higher def. ever since I get these cords to hook up my system I Have been watching all my favorite movies again just to see the true quality that is now possible even from my older DVDs (Princess Bride), the dark colors and vibrant tones of each individual light playing across the sean are uncanny in clarity and sharpness. I was amazed by the difference after such a simple change my TV is alive, and it only cost me ten bucks! I would buy from this company again if I needed it, but as far as these cables go, I think I will be happy for several years to come especially with the cost of the arrangement. I would give this company five & a half stars if I could! They really exceed the level of excellence that I though this site was capable of. They will have a loyal customer for as long as they keep this up I wont shop anywhere els. Thank you for your professionalism, and speed of your business.
