Customer Review: Expensive isn't always better
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this Mediabridge cable for my ps3 after a lot of research on HDMI cables. A buddy of mine at work suggested I try his 4' Ultra 1000 HDmi Video Cable, and there was absolutely NO difference in quality for something 3x the price. I played through RE5 on the PS3 for 5 hours on Saturday with this cable, and compared it to 5 hours of RE5 on Sunday.

Spend your extra cash and time on something more valuable - if you need a shorter HDMI cable, go with this one. Here are some highlights you'll find after researching:
1. Any cable 6' or under will have near identical results. Longer cables tend to fail more.
2. "It's digital, 1's and 0's, either it works or it doesn't" is a MYTH. You can still get half pictures, snow, or sparkles with HDMI.
3. Those swearing by the more expensive cables either bought an expensive short cable and want to mentally justify it to themselves, or they need a long cable, and DO actually need a pricier cable.

The shortest distance between your tv + media outlet (blu ray, ps3, etc) is the best. Save your money, get this cable. There's a reason why there are SO many positive reviews for this cable.

Customer Review: "WOW" what a difference
Summary: 5 Stars

Got this cable in to days and was up and running in 5 minutes. Got a philips 47plf7704d 47 inch, 120hz, full 1080p, 4 HDMI version 1.3a inputs lcd TV and a brand new philips Bluray player. Before I got the cables I had a 3 year old HDMI cable hooked up to my HD DVR cable to my TV. These cables feel like high quality sturdy cables well built. But if they do faulter, which I doubt, Mediabridge has a lifetime warranty on defects and workmanship.

Picture was good with the old cable but now with the Mediabridge Ultra Series - 6ft High Speed HDMI Cable - Version 1.3 Category 2 Certified - 1080p hooked up to it.... "WOW" picture difference is amazing deeper color, brighter, smoother picture just a better picture overall. Gotta get these cables if your Tv has HDMI 1.3 and is atleast 1 year old. I ordered 2 and the other one is hooked up to my Bluray player. I get 1080p/24fps with my TV and Bluray player and if anyone knows what that means it means u get the movie played the way it was intended to be played just like at the movies. Get deep color x.v. also and a cat 2, HDMI 1.3 cable is recommended for best Bluray playback. Get these cables cant beat the price. At best buy same type of cables with the same specs $79.99 to $149.99. "WOW" need I say more.

Customer Review: Amazing Clarity! Just As Good As Monster!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

First of all, I am using this cable with a Sony KDL-40EX400 HDTV and the Sony BDP-S350 Blu-ray Player. The Mediabridge cable was bought as an experiment to see if lower priced cables are indeed just as good as the infamous Monster Cables! I can without hesitation confirm that these are indeed just as good - when you consider those things that are most important to the consumer (e.g. Picture clarity and overall build quality). One thing that I can't comment on as of yet is longevity. However, based upon over 600 positve reviews, I'm assuming longevity will not be an issue. I am very impressed with the overall quality of the cable. I have a set of Monster Cables as well and in a side by side comparison, the build quality of the Mediabridge cable is on par with the Monster Cable. The picture quality delivered by the Mediabridge is breathtaking! The cityscape in "I Am Legend" is absolutely crystal clear. I was speechless! There were no worlds to describe the clarity!

I will definitely be buying another for my PS3!

Overall, I would definitely recommend the Mediabridge Ultra Series cables and concur with other reviewers that it's simply not worth it to spend the extra $$$$$$ for Monster.

Good luck! You won't be disappointed!

Customer Review: Not terrible, but not great either
Summary: 3 Stars

I recently purchased this for my PS3 and I'm a little disappointed. On my Dell 24-inch Ultrasharp computer monitor, it's fine. Sharp as a tack, really. But on a full sized HDTV that isn't the case.
As an experiment, I plugged it in to my Dad's 52-inch 1080P Sony Bravia, and contrasted and compared a few different blu-rays. His Blu-ray player was connected with a $100 Monster Cable, while my PS3 was connected with this $10 mediabridge cable. The loss in quality was pretty clear from the start. We put in WALL-E first, and on the PS3 it was muddied, at least compared to the tack sharpness and unbelievable clarity that was evident on my Dad's older model player. It just didn't compare. We put in a few more movies just to be sure, and it the difference was subtle. But it was there.
We've previously done similar tests comparing the PS3 to my Dad's Blu-ray player using similarly priced cables, and the PS3 is just as capable machine as my Dad's Sony Blu-ray. So that leads me to conclude that this cable is lacking. Not all cables are created equal. When I'm able to upgrade from my monitor to a full sized HDTV, then I will also upgrade to a better cable. Until then, for the purpose of connecting to my monitor, this cable is fine.

Customer Review: They work Great
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased three of these cable to be used with my Panasonic 3D TV and they work great. The picture quality and sound are great although I have not compared it with using the higher cost cables you can purchase but I don't feel as though I am missing anything. I use the cables to connect my PS3, Blu-Ray player and MacBook Pro to the television and they all work fine without a hitch. The cables also do a wonderful job of carrying the video and audio with just using the one cable. I have one note for Mac users you do have to go into "Preferences" -> "Sound" -> "Output" and select your device before the sound will go through the HDMI port. I only had to do this once now every time I connect my Mac it knows to use the HDMI port for sound. Finally , this is a general note about connecting computers the Panasonic 3D Tvs (at least for the one I have TC-P54VT25) the only way to get 1080p picture on the Panasonic 3D TVs is using the HDMI the VGA port limits you to 1440 X1050 (manual states max of 1366X768 over VGA) on my set and you still need another cable for audio. This is where these cables where the best value for me getting full 1080p picture for my laptop and reducing the number of cables I have connected to my television.
