Customer Review: Solved our sync problems affordably
Summary: 4 Stars

We bought a 27" Samsung LCD HDTV which is hooked to a Comcast HDTV cable box. The Samsung came with an HDMI cable and generally had a very good picture with it . . . when it was in sync! But the TV routinely lost sync with the picture going black for a few seconds and then popping back on only to do it again in another minute or two. Very distracting to say the least! Also had some occasional 'lip sync' problems where the audio and video were out of sync. After going through Comcast service a few times, rebooting the box, unhooking and then rehooking everything up I thought we might be returning the TV.

As a last attempt, and although the Samsung-supplied cable was a true HDMI cable, I figured it was worth the few bucks that this cable costs just to see if possibly it could help. Plugged it in, turned everything on, and there hasn't been a sync problem since!! Wonderful!

As an aside, I also bought the more expensive Amazon Basics HDMI cable so I would have a second option to test. It wasn't necessary! (But I kept the cable because I was about to buy a larger LCD HDTV for the master BR and the Amazon cable is doing its duty quite well there now!) In both cases, the cables are very inexpensive and very effective alternatives that may solve your sync problems as they did mine. And I truly love that both cables combined cost less than half the Monstrous price of that 'branded' cable!

Customer Review: I'm Picky so... I research long and hard!
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased the Samsung LN52A750 LCD, a Samsung BDP-1500 Blue Ray Player, an older 5.1 Dennon Surround sound system with Infinity speakers and I have the Monster HTS 3600 MK11 Power Center. The point is... I'm not afraid to spend the money on quality products if it is necessary. The Mediabridge Ultra High Speed Cable - 120 Hz - Version 1.3b Category 2 is as good as it gets and at a great low price! HDMI cables are always changing to keep up with technology so there is a difference in cable VERSIONS! The latest Version is the 1.3b Category 2. I originally was set to buy the high end Monster HDMI cables when I began my research... to include men who work in television network video and audio. The unique thing about Monsters high end cables is that they are made with advancements for "future versions " already built in the cable. This means that when new technology is implemented... you are cable ready for the new versions. But it doesn't improve the "present technology" version of 1.3b Category 2. Bottom line... when the new version technology is available... I'll buy the new version from Mediabridge for about $150 dollars less per cable than the Monster cable. That will buy a lot of Mediabridge cables as new versions are implemented! Wouldn't you agree? Buy with confidence from the seller. My Mediabridge cables work fantastic. Thank You for listening!

Customer Review: Excellent cables for an Excellent price!
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought these cables several weeks ago for my new 42inch Sony V series TV (1080p). I do not have a blu-ray player yet, I'm getting a PS3 for that soon, but I am useing 2 of these cables for my Xbox 360 and my ATT Uverse box (IPTV, think cable TV over fiber internet....). Playing games on my 360 in 1080p looks amazing (the 1080p enabled games anyway). WAY sharper and crisper then useing the component cables. Same goes for watching HD TV. Everything simply looks crisper and much more "alive".

The cables themselves are quite thick and sorta hard to maneuver about, but once you plug them in your unlikely to move them much. I'd rather have them this way anyway, they are shielded and very sturdy. Clearly they are well made. They are also apparently gold plated, and they snapped into my 360 and TV with a meaty, but easy, click. Very secure connection. I also appreciated that the "head" of the connector wasn't overly large. I have had issues in the past with huge cables that wouldn't fit in the slot or blocked adjacent slots (cough...monster....cough).

Overall, these are EXCELLENT cables that provide a PERFECT picture and cost WAY less then any local retailer. And they are 1.3b Cat2 certified, so your getting cables that can handle any 1080p TV. Simply put, if you need HDMI cables just buy these.

Customer Review: Does what it says, but beware of Noise/static
Summary: 3 Stars

The cable does what it says, and under the right circumstances it provides great picture quality- but those circumstances mean not having any power or speaker cables close to this HDMI cord because they will cause "noise/static" in the picture.

I own 3 HDMI cables, 1 Monster M series- 1 Monster 10.2gb high speed HDMI- and this mediabridge HDMI. As far as picture quality goes, there is no discernable difference to the untrained eye. But when it comes to insulation and shielding, its not even in the same ballpark as the Monster cables. I ran the Mediabridge cable from my surround sound reciever "that supports HDMI 1.4" to my TV, popped a blu-ray into my PS3 and did a close inspection of the picture quality compared to the Monster M series HDMI cable I had connected prior... Right away i noticed the static/noise on the display, small white dots that pop up randomly on the screen. They are only the size of A pixel or two, but noticable none the less. From far away the picture looks fine, but up close you will see the noise- So I unplugged the Mediabridge and put the Monster back in and had a perfectly clean picture. I ended up running the mediabridge from my hd cable box straight to the tv, avoiding any power or speaker cables on the way- and ended up having a good-clean picture.

Customer Review: Excellent value and performance vs. the high $$$ brands
Summary: 5 Stars

These cables by Mediabridge are every bit the equal of the much more expensive cables - as in 3 times as much more - offered by the big names like Monster, etc. The bottom line to these HDMI performers is that they are certified Category 2, which is the highest current rating by HDMI.org. It's not about whether they are 'gas injected dielectric' or other techno-speak by the pricier competition. It's whether they are certified to perform at Category 2 standards for throughput and how well they are made. These cables are very well made and definitely perform. A good test for those of you with a PS3 and a 1080P capable HDTV is to go into the Video Output of the PS3 and check the highest quality setting which is 1080p (not 1080i). I have tried to pass 1080p with lesser rated cables, even very good ones, and the PS3 simply can't pass the signal over those Cat 1 cables. But, as soon as I connected these Mediabridge cables, the signal passed cleanly, for the best possible picture. So, you can spend about $10 on these or get the Monster at over 3 times the price - you won't get 3 times the performance, but you will have that wonderful gas injected dielectric feature. Your call, but I'd go with the Mediabridge and spend the extra $25 on more cables or something else.
