Customer Review: Great cables for PS3 XBOX 360 and anything HDMI
Summary: 5 Stars

I received these cables extremely fast even over a holiday weekend, I spent a few minutes searching for good quality HDMI cables to replace existing ones that I had for about a year for an HD DVR receiver and PS3 and a new XBOX360. The main reasons I began my search was because the existing cables I had, both different brands but both purchased at well know retail stores and both being over 30$ a piece, had problems with flickering and dropping picture for a few minutes on start up on the PS3 system. It was always something I chalked up to just being something with the system and TV, but it had done it since day one. After really thinking about it and being ticked off that it wasn't working as it should I said I'm going to replace these cables and give my XBOX360 some love. I liked the reviews on the media bridge HDMI cables and the price was even better but I wasn't 100% sure they were gonna be any different. The moment I open the box and got my hands on these cables I could see they were legit, great feel to them and very durable, built very well and strong better then both big name cables I was about to replace. Hooked the cables up and both had that fit all tech savvy people know and love, and turned on the system and boom PS3 was happy, no jumping screen or flickering or dropping and re appearing. I'm happy I bought 3 of these cables because everything I have now is plugged in snug with these cables. Bottom line great cables and I mean great because build, cost, and style. Also a great thing about these cables are they are set up for future use since the are fast and 1.4v grade, my TV is still a 1.3 but while thinking of upgrading I know my cables will not need to be changed. If you've read this review sorry to drag on but just stop reading and click proceed to checkout these are the last HDMI cables you'll need and media bridge so far is a company I trust.

Customer Review: High quality cable at a great price.
Summary: 5 Stars

I recently purchased 3 of these for my home theater setup which contains an Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver, an Onkyo DV-BD606 Blu-ray player, a Playstation 3 game console and a Roku Digital Video Player. I initially purchased a 6ft HDMI cable made by Monster Cable for around $80 for the the connection from the receiver to the TV and needed 3 additional HDMI cables for the rest of my media centers connections. After some extensive research and shopping around I decided on these and I could not be happier. The build quality of these is exceptional. They are thick and well shielded and the picture and sound quality is equal to that of the 8x more expensive Monster cables. Also, one important consideration is that these are certified to be compliant with the HDMI 1.3 specification, meaning that they have greater bandwidth and are capable of transmitting via bitstream Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio (2 newer Lossless or uncompressed audio formats) as well as supporting xvYCC and Deep Color (essentially these 2 newer standards make colors look more vibrant and real), all necessary for today's HDTV's and for lossless audio for surround sound systems and blu-ray players that support these newer standards.
Here is a link explaining the new HDMI 1.3 standard:

I spent a lot of money on my home theater setup and wanted to ensure I was getting high quality cables that would provide the highest throughput for the best quality picture and sound possible. These definitely fit the bill and saved me over $200. If you need HDMI cables, these are the best I have seen at this price point with specs and build quality equal to the much more expensive Monster cables. So, save your money and get these, you won't be disappointed.

Customer Review: Unreliable at 1080p
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this cable to connect the new PS3 slim to a LN52A850 Samsung TV. I picked it because of the 5 star rating happy not to spend the average $40 on a Sony cable. I turned unhappy 10 minuted after I start using it.

1. Out of the box it does not look like in the picture. It is bigger and feels heavy. I was a bit worried about the tv HDMI port that will have to handle the stress.

2. Unreliable 1080p connection. I tried games and up-converted DVDs. The picture is great up to a point where the TV goes blank with a unsupported mode message. Switching to another source and then back to the PS3 fixes the problem until the next drop out. I tried all the setting on both the TV and the PS3, but the only thing that fixed the issue was the 40 bucks 6ft cable from SONY (Sony DLCHD18HFW - amazon has the 20HF which looks the same Sony DLCHD20HF 2-Meter High Speed HDMI Flat Cable ). I am running on the new cable for a week now and I tried all the settings again in order to get the system to drop out, but it just works.

I agree that digital signals are easier to transmit than analog ones, and that they should not require fancy expensive cables, but they still require some quality that this cable does not have. Considering the reviews for this product, it could be that my entertainment setup is more demanding or the cable is defective. Either way, the SONY cable works flawlessly in the same environment and in the end my 10 bucks gamble didn't paid of.

I give it 2 stars since it works with no problems at 720p.

Customer Review: Mine didn't work
Summary: 1 Stars

This is a great price for this cable, but I guess you get what you pay for. The cable I received didn't work. In order to get a working cable the vendor gave me two options: wait for them to test it and confirm it is broken or place a new order. I've already received my new Blu-ray player and have been waiting for the HDMI cable to show up. Imagine my annoyance when it finally shows up 2 or 3 days after the Blu-ray player (they were ordered at the same time) and it doesn't work. I've got this new toy, and I can't get the full benefit of it until I have a working HDMI cable. So, I'm not willing to wait any longer and will go buy a new cable from a local vendor today. I've asked Mediabridge for a full refund. I'll update this review if I don't receive it. Based on customer feedback on Mediabridge, I believe they will refund my money.
Some notes:
It took them a full business day to respond to my email.
Their response was clear and reasonable - especially since it is only a $10 purchase ($13 including shipping).
Even though they have good customer feedback, I have a hard time trusting them to refund my money if I place a new order.
If I place a new order, it will be at least a week (probably more) since I got my new Blu-ray player before I can really try it out.
For a $10 part, I can't blame Mediabridge for their requirements for a replacement, but I can comment on the quality of the product. It doesn't work. And now I have to go to the post office to ship the defective product back to them. Overall, not a big deal, but it sure is annoying.

Customer Review: I recommend these more than I recommend having kids!
Summary: 5 Stars

These work great! I'm sure some kids do too, but child labor's illegal in most countries and these are cheaper anyway. Not only that, but you don't have to feed them or change their diapers. Just plug them in and leave them there and they'll be happy.

Before I found these, I had a crap brand with some kind of "protective shielding" on it that did nothing except make the cable awkward to handle and position correctly. Not only that, but they had a casing around the connector that was poorly designed and snapped together, though it did not hold; because of that, the signal the cables sent to my TV was not fully intact, causing random burps of pixels to scatter across my screen ala "snowiness."

Fear not that you will have such problems with these cables! They are flexible enough to maneuver through even the most regular of wired setups and the casing around the connector is molded so you don't have to worry about it splitting open and exposing the wires.

I have had these plugged into my PS3 for 1 whole month now (you read correctly) and I already know these will last several lifetimes, at least under normal operating conditions and for their intended purpose.

Can you get cheaper cables? Yes. Do they work just as well? It's not impossible. Will they last longer than a day before they broke? Mine didn't.

I guess the bottom line is that these are worth [...] bucks and if you want to connect two devices that are less than 6 feet away with up to 1080p input/output, these will do the job no questions asked (just like a hitman).
