Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Mediabridge Ultra Series - High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet - (10 Feet) - Category 2 Certified - Supports 3D & Audio Return Channel [Latest HDMI Version Available]Customer Review: Product is fine, but return policy is not good Summary: 1 Stars
Description of the product on Amazon says, "Mediabridge - 10ft Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable - 120 Hz - Version 1.3 Category 2 - 1080p - Blu-Ray - PS3", which would made you think that cable would send 120Hz signals to your TV from the PS3 and thinking that I bought this cable. On connecting PS3 to my TV (which is 1080P 120 Hz LCD) through this cable, I found that HDMI signals were still coming with 60Hz rate. Later, on further investigating I found that PS3 itself doesn't output more than 60Hz signals. If that was the case, it should have been mentioned here on this product's page. Since I already had an HDMI cable, there was no use of this cable for me so I returned it. To my surprise, I found that Amazon only returned me half of the amount I paid for this product. It was highly unlikely of Amazon. Even if I had to bare the cost of shipping, I don't understand why Amazon would charge me $5.34 for shipping. If I had known that Amazon would deduct half of the cable's cost in the shipping cost, I would have kept the cable with me instead of returning it.
NOT SATISFIED.
Customer Review: High Quality Cable Summary: 5 Stars
I bought 2 cables. One was 6 ft and one was 10 ft. One is used for xbox360 and the other is used for an AV connection to my Samsung HD 1080 LCD.
I'm very pleased to say they are doing a great job. They handle the data very well. The output is great with respect to color, clarity and the sound is as good as it gets, superb! They are built with high quality parts and has a real durable feel and look to them. I wouldn't settle for anything less when it comes to my home theatre and surround sound system.
I'd easily pay 4 to 5 times as much as I did if I bought this quality from a retail store. The super stores, can't even match these. I know, I looked!
I will repurchase if I need another set. NOTE: The customer service reviews had a lot of influence on my decision to purchase as well. Very high quality control, and the response by customer service when a bad cable was found was excellent. They shipped replacements immediately...no questions asked. (though both my cables have no problems at all).
Customer Review: Mediabridge 10ft hdmi cable ver.1.3b Summary: 5 Stars
This 10ft hdmi cable from Mediabridge performed perfectly. I'm using it with a Samsung LN46B650, a Pioneer Vsx-918v-k receiver, An Asus media pc based on the M3n78-vm motherboard with HDMI out, and a Samsung Bluray player. All of these cables never missed a beat. They all have audio and video running through them. The switcher on the Pioneer works perfectly. Full 1080p with no problems. From my experience I would guess people that have problems with these cables may be from user error or product incompatability. I mean, I know that occasionally a massed produced product is just bad you can't change that, but I bought 6 of these and everyone of them worked perfectly and has never failed ater months of use. If you do the research on your products you will find certain cables that don't work with your equipment. The version 1.3a vs 1.3b thing just means these cables passed tighter specifications and tolerances than the 1.3a cables. This means they don't perform differently than the 1.3a cables they are just built to tighter specifications.
Customer Review: The real deal at the real price Summary: 5 Stars
Hey folks, this cable is awesome. I needed a new PC Monitor but monitors are way to expensive. I decided to purchase a 26" Samsung HD LCD TV with hdmi inputs, instead. A good 22in monitor that can only be used with a PC was 300+. A 26in samsung or any other top brand HDTV with HDMIs is 400+ but under 500. The tv performs the same or even better than a PC monitor.
These cables are flawless, flawless, flawless, and very affordable. I almost made the mistake of purchasing some 6" philips version a cables for 50 bucks at a local electionics store. I won't say the name, take your pick, it really doesn't matter. I mean these cable cost 50 and up. I've even seen some for 120 bucks. Are they crazy? Media Bridge cables perform equally or better than monster, philips, sony, etc. Thanks Amazon and Media Bridge for bringing quality AFFORDABLE products to the average consumer.
To use this type of a connection for a PC you need a dvi to hdmi connector that fits on your pc's video card and of course these wonderful cables.
Customer Review: Quality & Value Summary: 5 Stars
Purchased a set of these 10ft cables from Amazon/Mediabridge and they arrived the same week. Popped the protective caps off each cable and connected the U-verse box to the THX home theater system, then used the second cable to connect the THX to the HDTV.
Both cables worked perfectly and cost less than $25.00! No additional audio/video cables were needed - since both digital audio and video ride the same cable. I checked for noise/interference by placing the HDMI cable close to the TVs power cable. No change on HDNet in the signals (audio/video) quality, so I tie wrapped them together. Shielding was not an issue with these cables.
You can compare and pay a lot more for a shorter HDMI cable from the big box stores, but you will not be able to see or hear a difference in quality. These cables are well constructed and all that is needed to carry digital signals (1's and 0's) between devices.
As I continue to install HDTVs, I will continue to order these Mediabridge cables!!
