You will not go wrong when you purchase an Mediabridge products. They compare in quality to Amazon's own brand. When considering CAT5 ethernet cable, ensure you read several reviews. That said, I have had absolutely no problems with my Mediabridge products. Specifically, the 100-foot cable I installed from my router to my ethernet connection plate was a breeze. I picked-up a cable/ethernet junction box at Home Depot for $6 and wired the cable according to the colored wires and numbers on the reverse of the plate. You do not need to be a professional to complete this job. If you Google or Bing ethernet cables you will find several examples of the colors and number association with the numbers on the revers of the plate. The first time I made all the connections was the last time...premier quick connection and reliability. You cannot go wrong with Mediabridge. [In addition, purchase ANY HDMI cable with gold connectors and you will be fine. My HDMIs cost only $6-$8 from Amazon--NOT $56 from Monster. The HD-level that you achieve is a misnomer. Any good quality gold-plated HDMI will suffice quite nicely for your application from component to HDMI switcher or rear of your video source].
