Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Maximo FM Transmitter and Car Charger for Sansa MP3 PlayersCustomer Review: If you have a Sansa, look no further. Summary: 5 Stars
This is the transmitter you want. I too have tried another generic fm transmitter with poor results. After much research on the web for something better, this one seemed to please the most users. Haven't been disappointed either, it's great, with nice clear transmission to my car radio. Haven't noticed any static at all. Just make sure you select a frequency with no stations close to it in its band. It has preset buttons just in case you run into interference on long trips. And on top of that, it charges my Sansa while it plays :)
Customer Review: Works, kinda Summary: 3 Stars
The price was very fair, and the ability to use any FM channel is terrific. A lot of the reviews I read about this item stated that it sent a great signal, especially compared to other products. This is my first FM transmitter, and my experience isn't so great. It starts out working great, crystal clear no matter where I place my sansa, but after a minute or two the signal develops static. I found it works best if I toss the sansa in the back seat (Car antenna in the back).
Not flawless performance, but worth the money
Customer Review: It works......... Summary: 1 Stars
I am not sure how well though.
I bought this as an after thought for my MP3 player. It works. There seems to be a lot of background noise. Sound volume levels change constantly. Product performance seems to be different in different vehicles.
I have not compared the product to anything else so I don't know if it works better or worse to the competition.
I did return the unit under warranty replacement and the company treated me well. Exchanging the product promptly and professionally.
Customer Review: a whole lot of hassle Summary: 2 Stars
Has good quality sound when there is no interference. I found it a bit annoying to use. It doesn't go below 88.1- or at least I couldn't get mine to go lower. All the unused frequencies are in the lower ranges so it was hard to find one that wasn't used- the ones I were able to use would only work for a while and then would have static. It is hard to fiddle with while driving- the buttons are small and the thing that displays your frequency is hard to see when the sun is shining. Not that impressed.
Customer Review: Was pleasently surprised Summary: 5 Stars
I was surprised at the quality of the transmitter. I set it up on an unused frequency and drove around, then at one point I took it out of the cigarette lighter and to my surprise in that area a station was using the same frequency, and it was very clear. I didn't notice any reduction in quality, which I thought would have happened from interference.
