Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Maximo FM Transmitter and Car Charger for Sansa MP3 PlayersCustomer Review: Worked great, for a week.... Summary: 3 Stars
I received the SAN-360 FM Transmitter & Charger as a gift for Christmas. It worked very well, for about a week and a half. I plugged it in this past week and found that it was not transmitting correctly. It sounded as if only the background parts of my music were coming through clearly. I keep my transmitter in my car, along with my cell phone charger. I live in New England so I'm not sure if the transmitter was affected by the cool winter temperatures or not. I'm sure this is not a common occurance, but I would advise anyone with the transmitter not to leave it in their car in extreme temperates (hot or cold). I have contacted Maximo about my problem - and hope to find out if it was a fluke, or if the cold temps killed my transmitter... I'll update later if/when I hear from them. :)

Just received it today by mail. Went out and plugged it in. It worked extremely well and was very easy to set up. Thanks to some of the info from other reviews I turned the players volume up to about 75% for the first try. It came through nice and loud and I thought the sound quality was excellent given that it is a transmitter. I was afraid that since my power antenna was trunk mounted that the signal might pick up more static, but none at all. Even with the hookup cable buried under the ash try it was still crystal clear. I live in the Sarasota Florida area and we have numerious channels but I was still able to fine a dead spot that worked just fine!!! I highly recomend this product to anyone looking to enjoy their player while traveling in the car.
Customer Review: To all the naysayers Summary: 5 Stars
I spent a fair amount of time reading the reviews, especially the negative ones. Here is what I have experienced. First, it worked right out of the box. Second, when I spent less than 10 minutes going through the various frequencies, I was able to find several available stations that had a negligible amount of noise. I am very pleased with my choice. To those critics that complain about the background noise, I am old enough to remember tape hiss from cassettes, and the background noise can be reduced to about what was there on cassette tapes with dolby (or less). When I consider road noise and sound of the engine, I can't hear anything but my music. If you want less, get a different radio with a direct input from your MP3 player.
Customer Review: This is the one Summary: 5 Stars
I've tried all other inexpensive FM transmitters. They are ALL junk. The Maximo SAN-360 FM transmitter for your Sansa is all you'll need. The sound quality is excellent and it's easy to change frequencies if the one you're on is interfering with a local broadcast.
If you envy iPod users with their excellent FM transmitters, then the Maximo SAN-360 will put you in their league for your Sansa MP3 players. My MP3 player is the SanDisk Sansa e280.
The Maximo SAN-360 is a little bit expensive, but considering all the cheap FM transmitters I wasted my money on, it would've been a great buy if I had started out with the Maximo.
Customer Review: Better than most FM transmitters Summary: 4 Stars
I've used two different Belkin AAA transmitters, and they were horrible in my Ford Focus and Freestar. Lots of static and drifting in and out of stereo.
I've only used the Maximo in the Focus so far, but it's really nice. There are very few open stations in my area, so it's tough to find a clear frequency, but I managed to find 3 decent ones and lock them into the memories of the Maximo and my radio.
If you leave the cord coiled or wrapped up, the signal isn't as good, so I leave mine unwound.
If you have a Sansa player and will use it in the car primarily, then this transmitter does a fine job.
