Customer Review: It got the job done but buzzing noise when left in the plug

It works for my Canon camera battery whose charger we lost somehow. However my wife is in the habit of leaving any chargers plugged in, which I don't really care either way. However, after about a month or so I started hearing this hissing sound like a leaky water pipe and finally I traced it down to this item. So there must be some circuitry in there that does not take well with being plugged in the whole time without the battery in it. It still works so I won't complain but it does seem to indicate poor workmanship and I won't be surprised if it fails anytime soon, hopefully after I got us a newer camera.
