I'm probably like many of you that want to transfer your VHS movie library on to DVD discs. I purchased a Panasonic DVR (love it) and I'm in the process of creating a "new" DVD library -- and so far the originals are allowing me to copy their content (no blocking on older movies). I record on average about 10 hours a week ,,, while using these RW discs.
And while I have not measured exactly or compared with other manufacturers ,,, each disc does last months of rewriting ,,, most done at LP speed.
I am happy and have no complaints using and reusing ,,, writing and rewriting.

My Emerson DVD/VHS recorder won't read every brand of disc, but I've found these Maxell versions work well for recording sports events that I like to keep in an archive. Great Price, Fast Shipping. Recorded 1,2,and 4 hours. Works great, great picture. Still have to try 6 and 8 hour recordings on one disc and see how picture comes out, but I think they will come out fine. If not, I will stick to 4 hour max. on each. That is plenty.
