Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Maxell 635117 4.7 GB Rewritable DVD-RW Spindle (15 Pack)Customer Review: Didn't work... Summary: 1 Stars
I think my problem was I thought the disc would work on my DVD/CD RW Combo drive. Man I regret not reading the comments before I purchased this turkey. My mistake I guess. My main purpose was to burn data on the disc so I can have a backup copy of what I wanted to save. So to top this embarrasing screw up, I'm just gonna get a -->usb memory stick/flash memory stick<--:D "problem solved".

Customer Review: So far, So Good Summary: 5 Stars
These are working pretty good so far. I am using them in my Toshiba DVD Recorder. The only quam I have is trying to get the damn plastic cover off the disks. I must have turned the damn thing several times and I couldn't get it off. After a few choice words, it came off. Everytime I need to get into it, it is harder than hell. You'd think these disks were made of gold !. Anyway, Maxell does make a good product.
Customer Review: Slow Write Speed Summary: 3 Stars
I'm happy with the quality and performance of these discs, although I might not have bought them if the write speed had been prominently listed. That said, I'm still happy with them. Perhaps a slower writing speed leads to a better quality recording? Pricewise, they are not a barn burner bargain, but they're competitive. They are doing the job for me.
Customer Review: perfect choice for transferring VHS videos Summary: 5 Stars
The DVD-RW format is difficult to find in stores. Amazon is the only place I was able to find them. For my DVD recorder, I prefer this format. I have 85 VHS tapes of The Simpsons episodes dating from the very first episode. So far I have made 65 discs, each with five episodes, and no problems have been encountered. I highly recommend this product.
Customer Review: Didn't work in newer MacBook Pro Summary: 1 Stars
This was the first time I'd tried RW media. In a MacBook Pro less than a year old these disks just would not write successfully, even once. I tried about six of 'em, and not a one succeeded. Bought 'em for the Read-Write feature, hoping to use 'em over and over, but no joy. Haven't had similar problems with other Verbatim disks.
