Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of MAXELL CD-392 Double Slim Line CD Jewel Cases (pkg of 25 doubles)Customer Review: Excellent Quality Cases! Summary: 5 Stars
Originally i only ordered a 25-pack of these because they were at a good price. Afterwards i kinda regretted it, as my experience with slimline cases in the past was bad. You know the kind---Those slimline cases out there that don't feel strong and are so fragile that they crack into peices at the slightest jolt.
I was pleasently suprised at these Maxell brand slimline cases. They are made of fairly sturdy and strong, GOOD quality clear plasic, that feels solid and protects the discs well. These are also multi-colored in blue, red, green and yellow which all look slick. The cases also snap close tightly.
Only issue i had with these otherwise GREAT cases,is you can't see the label side of the 2 discs the way its positioned. However thats nothing a simple plain label won't help, i use old leftover VHS tape labels to name them.
Overall,great looking,excellent quality cases!
Customer Review: Great for audio books Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using these double CD cases for years to hold the books that I purchase at audible.com, download, and then burn to CD. It can take quite a few CD's to hold a large book and it is so great to have these really slim cases that each hold 2 discs. I have had no problem with breakage. They get tumbled around in my car but still hold up. Yes, when you open up the case, one of the CD's may come loose, so just open with a little bit of care and that is not a problem either. I used to buy them at Target, but the store near me no longer has them, so I will now be ordering them from amazon.
Customer Review: Best choice so far for limited storage space Summary: 4 Stars
pro:
holds disc adequately when fully seated
store disks in 1/4 the normal space!
good price for a small pack
con:
fragile: one fell about 2 feet, broke both hinges off
If you drop one, the disks may fall out
Some were hard to open, especially the first time
A few don't latch closed on both sides after regular use
not very dustproof
does not click on to disc hub - you have to pinch the hub down
I can get 2 normal slims more cheaply than 1 dual (if I buy 100)
A few had no grip at all; I had to trash them
Customer Review: Thin dual CD holder Summary: 5 Stars
This product is great at 2 things. First it holds your CD's (or DVD's) as you would want it to. Second, it is really thin, and so takes up very little space on your bookshelf, package or other place you might want to put it. The colors are likely a helpful feature, but I wouldn't know since I use them only to ship out DVD's. It's possible the people who receive the colored cases say something like "wow, that's a really pretty blue!", but if they do they don't share that with me.
Good, quality product for the money.
Customer Review: Good Looking Slim Cases Summary: 4 Stars
I use these, and I'm satisfied with them.
They are slim cases, and hold a CD inside each half, so there's no room for inserts. One solution is to put the CDs with the label sides facing out and read them through the plastic. Another solution is to put an adhesive label on the outside of the case -- transparent printer labels, printed in black, work great for this.
These aren't my first choice for CD sets that I use frequently, but they're attractive, handy and economical.
